Its possible if Loma is still fighting at a high level. His next opponent will give us an idea as hes pretty damn good himself. Thing is Shakur is so damn talented and fires his punches with such precision it would be such a difficult task at 135 for anybody to beat him. Hes that damn good.

Yes two fighters were landing but many were only interested in seeing the shots of only one of them.

I'm convinced that's how the vast majority of boxing fans process a match, especially when it concerns a so called slick fighter who they can ruthlessly throw out played out he's schooling him lines. Their brains are literally on cruise control, not actually watching or correctly processing what is actually transpiring in the ring.

I know what I'm looking at and I saw a great fight. Styles make fights and Conceicao's style brought out the best in Shakur. He showed he can take a great shot and fight in close. Haters were saying that he was a runner and he proved them wrong tonight. Everybody knows he can box but now they know that he has heart and can and will bang. He needed that fight because that fight put 135 on notice and and let them know that he won't fold from getting hit like they thought he would. Now, how you saw it is how you saw it, not me.

I agree. Like I said in one of the rounds, RC won the first half of that round but not a peep out of Dre and his beau, but Dre immediately piped up ass soon as Shakur had some success of his own. I'll wager many in this thread had Shakur winning the first half it.

RC sports an even more unmanly KO 42%. That's getting dangerously close to I'm putting you up for adoption territory if you're my son and you can't hit harder than that

Such heart, staying ultra defensive and refusing to slug it out with a guy with less KO's than him.:risas3: That could've been the Super Featherweight equivalent of a Paulie Malignaggi-Chris Algieri war of attrition. Sadly, Shakur is such a *****, he robbed us of it.

That statement only goes to show that we were watching two totally different fights. I for one wasn't looking for him to fight his regular fight and box all night. He showed some grit and heart. He dealt with frustrations, an awkward style, a good chin, constant pressure and a point deduction. This fight was everything he needed because it tested him in ways that he has never been tested. He passed and grew as fighter.

Love reading back through the RBRs this one especially polarized with different posters claiming dominant rounds by either man. It always makes me really want to see the fight when I see that.

Slamming a guy to the canvas out of frustration, in a fight you are winning is considered growth now? The repeated low blows and you believe he grew? Didn't make weight in a fight he signed for, disrespecting himself, his fans and his championships is growth?

    Jesus.

It was ridiculous the commentators saying the 1-2 was ineffective when in fact it was winning rounds and last I checked that's the point of a 12 round fight, Shakur definitely won but Robson was competitive.

On a side note how are Top Rank getting away with 8 rounders as a co-main event?

Don't forget the slam. Oh and the repeated low blows. Also the hip punches. There was a head clash in there somewhere as well...

You act like you have never seen that before in boxing. It happens. He got frustrated because he wanted to get the knockout and Conceicao's chin was standing up, on top of that Conceicao was leaning on and holding him every chance he got. Shakur is still a young fighter. He is still growing. The weight issue doesn't take away from the fight, that's sidebar conversation. He is still gonna fight and fight for championships. People are still gonna pay to see him because he can fight and he has star appeal. He was tested on a lot of things tonight and it all wasn't about the actual boxing.

If I was you I'd just let it go. There are some posters that will NEVER give the kid any credit. Solid performance and some quality fights to make up at 135lbs.
