that articule in the sydney papers on sunday about mundine is very interesting,on 2 counts...hamdan let slip that mundine can beat the wba interm champ..ishida...!thats why he is going for the international title,so he can open negotiations with ishida.mundine is going for an easy target.
guess i was wrong(maybe)that he wont make weight...cos he has to make weight to claim the lesser title to go for the interm...the weigh in will be very interesting, ill be keeping a very close eye on it..
the second thing i relized is...dont want to sound facetious....but i know mundine has never once won a fully fledged world title(wba, wfc, ibf.wbo),
but he must have the record of the most titles collected in australian history....thats a pretty big feat...!one day i hope he gets a world title.
his war is next tuesdays weigh in not the fight...!the reaon he turned down 4 million to fight green is he needs a world title for his legacy..!
    hamdan let slip......!

What do you call titles MrDoc???

What do you compare Mandy's collection of titles to?? He might have a swag of them, but they are not neccesarily on par with those of his father, or dozens of other fighters in the Oz game.

True-ish... He has no legacy until he fulfills his potential as a professional fighter.

That's what he's been laxed in attempting to do.

Mundine's world titles are as meaningful as dog ****. His WBA titles are fakes, as Ottke and Kessler, two guys who beat him easily incidentily, were the WBA champs at the time. And the IBO, well, they wanted Mundine to fight Deadly Rob Medley fight for their vacant belt, so that says it all. Ok, Geale is a good fighter, but the IBO belt is crap. Yet all you hear on Fox Sports is how Mundine is a 3 time world champion. Makes me sick. They are now claiming his fight with that South American cabbie is for another WBA world championship lol.

Anyone seen the Fox Sports Mundine: Gloves Off documentary aired lately? My gawd, never heard so much **** talked in an hour of television. It was said to see such a respected guy like Johnny Lewis be paid to talk up Mundine as shamelessly as he did. Saying things like had he given another 5% he would have beaten Kessler easy, and that Ottke ran from a rematch. Fox Sports have their Mundine promotion on overdrive it seems with the massive fight with the legendary Garth Woods on the horizon

I dont see how Mundine could be fighting for the WBA 154 International title...that was won in the states 3 weeks ago :huh

Alex Leapai will be fighting for the Interim WBO Oriential HW title V Travis Banks....the sanction fees are being paid today as both teams agreed on terms :bbb this will see the winner get a top 10 to 15 ranking in the WBO :goodthe fight will now be over 12 rounds....not that it will go that far
