    He went forward the entire fight throwing punches, and at the end of the fight his back was to the ropes and he was eating shots and went 30 seconds without throwing anything back...

    He was clearly done.

    It happened earlier but none of us know the result. We don't want to know it yet, either. ;) We're waiting for SKY to show it on tape delay, which should be any minute now since the main event is over.

    He was fading, but Theophane wasn't throwing anything particularly hurtful. He was leading on the cards, on his feet, and not really hurt...Don't stop the damn fight.

    In light of the boxing tragedies this past week (Simphiwe Tom in a coma after Sabelo Jubatha beat him by TKO, Roman Simakov dead of brain damage after Sergey Kovalev stopped him) it's vital that we make clear when it IS and ISN'T appropriate to protest an early stoppage.

    THIS BULL**** that we just witnessed - this is a perfect example of when it is OK (not only OK, but a moral imperative) to protest early stoppages.

    If someone with power is beating down on someone who gamely refuses to go down and is too tough/brave for their own good but is in clear and present danger - it IS NOT appropriate to complain when it's stopped.

    Everybody clear on the difference?

    His corner seemed to think it was closer than it was. Could have backed off for 2 rounds and got the decision. Shame, big heart.

    STFU. Murphy was not in harm's way. Theophane backed him up a bit for the first time all night, and had him covered up against the ropes while he slapped away with his feather fists and barely made good contact.

    It was a reprehensible stoppage, don't start in with that "would you rather it come too late" nonsense. Utter copout and uncalled for, just STFU.
