Fitness could be an issue for Theophane's opponent, so he he start fast and hard hoping to do some damage. His build suggests he can hit a bit.

Theophane looks like Corrales from behind.

Odds for Theophane to stop this guy now at roughly 70% on the betting exchange.

Nigel Wright is sitting ringside. He was supposed to get the shot against Theophane tonight but had medical issues that prevented it.

be a case of weathering the early storm from Murphy then getting his game going, from Ashley.

    Round 1

Murphy burrows his head in between Theophane's pinned-together arms and rips away with slices beneath the ribcage. Murphy is just chopping away with body shots, constantly coming forward with his head bowed. Theophane is just skipping back to the ropes and rolling out a couple of isolated jabs when not covering up. Murphy is leaning on him against the ropes and digging with body shots. High right hand over the top on the much taller champion, who's folded up like a lawn chair. More body shots, and another clubbing overhand right just whistling past Theophane's ear. A few jabs on the backward step by Theophane, but he's again grabbed and guided straight back to the ropes where Murphy is slugging away with hooks and looping rights to the body. Theophane backs up and lands a double jab to the forehead but Murphy is right atop him in a moment, clinched. Hard looping right to the kidneys by Murphy, then a left hook caught on the guard.

    10-9 Murphy

10-9 Murphy. He is a sloppy fighter though

    10-9 Murphy

Murphy smothering Theophane and landing some decent shots. Theophane might want to work on his counterpunching game.

Ash didn't do ****. He seemed perfectly content to give away the first round. The strategy must be to count on Murphy gassing.

Ben has only been past six rounds twice in his career - and never past ten.

!st round to the pocket tank I think! simply due to the pressure and work rate. Not really anything of quality from Theophane.
