Does not seem to get much of a shout out round here, has a win over former world champion demarcus corley and is on a 6 fight win streak, i remember about 6 months ago there was talk of him and zab judah nothing came of it. I remember watching him as a amature think it was when lee beavis beat him in the aba's he has always had the talent but been missing somrthing else maybe bad managment?
he's done it his own way i think. it would be nice seeing him on a mainstream promotion though....maybe fighting for a domestic title
Mad bugger but a good boxer. I had hopes for him a few years ago but he never gets anything. He really needs a promoter.
I don't think he'll amount to anything major. Not been horrible but there is no consistency in his career. I'd like to see him take a big fight against a prospect then we can get a more worthwhile idea of how good he is. Beating Corley is good form but Corley is a mess these days.
I see Ashley quite a lot at my local fitness centre & he comes across as a quiet, humble person. A class act imo! I always have a chat with. We talk about the latest fights that have happened or that are coming up soon. Ashley, I believe, has spent a lot of time in USA, developing his skills & trying to improve. I believe he has been in camp with Dimitry Salita numerous times.
I just had hopes he could get into the domestic title mix and have a few good fights both here and in the states but nothing seems to appear.
