Which heavyweights had the fastest hands?

Does Holyfield still possess the fastest hands in boxing today despite his advanced age?

Tyson's peak hands were quicker than Holyfield's.

And in 'all of boxing', many fighters had quicker hands than Holyfield at the lower weights.

Fast but still quite ineffective I would say Herbie "The Dancing Destroyer" Hide, Larry "The Legend" Donald is very fast too for his size and in the Holmes/ali jab style and comes to my mind James "Buster" Douglas in his display against Tyson and at that weight... Mike was fast and effective out of well studied combinations, Holyfield also with blazing combinations but not quite as fast and as powerful.

    No way.

Holyfield's handspeed was like a blur.

I remember his fight with Dwight and it's like his hands weren't even moving. All you could hear was the sound of his punches.

It sounded like furniture breaking, and eerily it's like Holyfield's hands were still, yet the noise....

In the division today, there is not a heavyweight with faster hands than Wlad. Period.

And today Holy is not fast at all, he's having his issue's with the Fres Oquendo's and Lou Savarese's of the world.

So don't expect him to defeat Sultan. I am a big Holyfield fan and it took objective realisation to pick against him, but he's not winning, he's losing by stoppage no less. May be painful to watch.

Do you all atleast rank Holyfield as being in the top three for fastest hands ever?

    My rankings go like this.

    1) PRIME Holyfield
    I'm talking PRIME HOLYFIELD.
    2)Patterson
    3)Ali

    And for current heavyweights

    1)Holyfield
    2)Wlad
    3)Toney

    Are you nuts?

Ali was faster, as was Patterson and Frazier could let rip a quicker hook (their mney punch).

Holy slowed down overall from 190 to heavy.

Wlads hands are faster than him now. When they fought Toney let rip with shots Holy was dreaming about.

Absolutely, Toney beat Holyfield to the punch and Holy never got first with his hands or antecipated any move really, b'sides Evander was never that fast but just accurate, strong and composed... I have a feeling capsfund is making fun and I find that choosing Evander as a target this week is ultimately unfair or else, is he exactly with his feet on earth at the moment, get the pic :rasta ? Enjoy the cool vibes, bro

Chris Bryd has faster hands than Holyfield, and there around the same size.
