Aside from Ali , who beats Lennox?

Lewis is not an easy fight for any ATG but that can be said of all of them.
Lennox beat holyfeild badly on the ropes but did you notice how he had to stop for a breather himself?

Lennox, like young foreman would be fighting two opponents in a long fight -himself and his own gas tank. The main difference was Lennox was better at rationing out his stamina, stalling and taking time out to recover within rounds. Those explosive bursts are draining for 230 plus fighters and Lennox was no exception, Lewis always took rounds off to recover from his own exertion making all of his distance fights close.

There is a good argument that Lewis was lucky he was not made to pay for this forced stalling too often because all of the top fighters also fought in spurts during his era.

 

Most heavyweight greats get over rated a few years after they retire, so it is only fair that Lewis has his turn.

Liston, Foreman, Holmes, possibly Holyfield, Louis, Frazier, and Dempsey. That's it.

I would pick Lewis to beat Ali. Punchers such as Dempsey, Marciano, Foreman, Liston and Louis would have a good chance against Lewis, as well as Vitali in a rematch shortly after their only fight.

No. I'm sorry but Tyson would not win in their prime. When they actually fought, Lewis was more past prime than Tyson and had A BROKEN HAND, yet PUMMELED Tyson. Sorry A prime Lewis beats any version of Tyson. This coming from a huge fan of Tyson, and someone not particularly fond of Lewis.

 

Top heavyweights are hard to match. Many may possibly beat him on a given night (Johnson, Frazier, Dempsey, Holmes, Tyson). But I confidently think prime Liston or Foreman do Lennox though. Maybe Louis.

 

Prime for Prime (think, people, what this means), I am hesitant to favor anyone over Lewis with much confidence.

Except maybe Burns.

Lennox Lewis is the only champ in any weight class in the history of the sport who was flat out ko'ed TWICE by ONE punch by genuine Palookas.........nobody would have eever heard of McCracken or Hasbeen without those Ko's, both did not put any master classes on or fought some great tactical battle, no, both just landed a right and the fight was over, as a matter of fact ,Rahman looked like absolute dogshid who wanted to quit because of a little cut during the duration of the fight.

You cannot train a chin.....and Lewis's chin will always be his Achilles heel, same as WK and that will open the door to a decent list of past stand out Heavyweight champs or dangerous contenders who can punch to land a straight right to put Lemmie down for the count, remember, once Lennox is down , he stays down.
