Most papers reported that dempsey seemed to have the edge in the first fight...Miske did have the disease...but if you look at boxrec your see he had 18 fights after dempsey, beating many top fighters.

Tyson for skill, Ali for natural ability.

Ali, Mayweather, Hammed and RJJ all have the natural ability that allowed them to fight with terrible technique but be successful.

i go Jack Johnson. He used his feet very intelligently, always in position to land a punch without using unnesacary movement. Also a master at blocking punches. And ofcourse he had very good punch technique.

No. Archie was better than Floyd.

Holyfield and Douglas completely crucified Tyson for lack of skill.

Lack of depth in skills, certainly.

    I'd go for Holmes.

Well some had Miske winning some had Dempsey winning hence a draw, this is the same fighter Greb won a wide decision against the same year. Miske was clearly past it for the rubber match, he lost 3 times the year before and would die 4 years later. Regardless Miske was an also ran in this era and Dempsey wasn't even taking on the best boxers around like Wills, Greb, Tunney until he faced Tunney and we saw what happened there

Thats why Floyd treated Archie like a punch bag and has the better HW wins, despite being a blown up middleweight

Let's see Floyd try to do that to Archie of a couple years before, who also wasn't being accused for blackmail at the time. Archie was not at his best that night, nor in 1956.

Archie has the much better light-heavyweight wins, because that's what archie was, a 175lber, one of the top 2 all time. Archie ranks higher at 175lb than floyd does in any weight class.

Speaking of heavyweight wins, Archie trounced Bob Baker and Nino Valdes. Two big, powerful heavyweight contenders who floyd patterson refused to fight.
