Aside from the odds, what was arguably the greatest mismatch in heavyweight boxing history?

I feel all the heavyweight title fights that finished in a round were complete mismatches because of thev power and chins involved Which heavyweight fights do fans feel were the biggest mismatches? (title or non-title fights)

    Floyd Patterson vs Pete Rademacher

Patterson was a defending HW champion, having been in there with legends like Archie Moore and Joey Maxim, was viewed as the baddest man on the planet before his chin was exposed. Rademacher made his debut against him in HW title fight

    Ali v Richard Dunn.
Was there ever a wider gulf between 2 fighters in a heavyweight title fight?

The 1970s are often said to be the golden age of heavyweight boxing but it had its fair share of heavyweight title mismatches.

    Joe Frazier vs Terry Daniels
    Joe Frazier vs Ron Stander
    George Foreman vs Jose Roman
    Muhammad Ali vs Jean-Pierre Coopman
    Muhammad Ali vs Richard Dunn.

Riddick Bowe vs an extremely past it Jesse Ferguson.

Come to think about it, the old, cokehead version of Michael Dokes that faced Bowe also had no business being in a championship fight at that point.

    Did some research

    Bowe vs Ferguson
    Ali vs Juergen Blin
    Lewis vs Botha
    Wlad vs Leapai
    Vitali vs Johnson
    Grant vs Lewis (in hindsight)
    Louis vs Johnny Davis
    Carnera vs Loughran
    Sharkey vs Unknown Winston
Johnson vs Bob Fitzsimmons (I know he's an ATG but was 44 and not a big HW, or one at all)

George Foreman vs Terry Sorrell (Sorrell was 4-15. Foreman fought for the title in his next fight)

I think a big part was that Fitz was injured. He did give Lang a good fight over 2 years later.

Did he? I genuinely didn't know they fought, I take it that is Sam Langford? Anyway, it's still a grotesque missmatch and even moreso if he's injured
