I see it panning out similiar but not exactly like Hatton-Floyd

Mosley was able to hit Cotto with right hands all night and thats Floyds favorite punch. He would be able to lead and snap Cottos head back. Cotto's defense is average at best and he gets hit a lot, and Floyd is the best Plus Minus fighter.

Floyd would circle to his left most likely, and stay away from Cottos left hook and use his own hook to lead at times. Mosley landed 53% of his power punches on Cotto. Floyd would tag Cotto coming in, and slip and duck and move from most of Cotto's punches.


The only way I see Cotto winning is if he takes A LOT of leather to get at Mayweathers body and drastically slow Mayweather down, but that's a lot leather Cotto would have to eat and I just don't see it happening. Cotto would need to take 6 to deliver 1, and that 1 would have to be huge, but would he be able to do that? I don't think so, but this is boxing. The closest resemblance to Floyds speed is Judah and Judah showed early that Cotto can't handle speed very well (unless he slows the fighter down, and like I said, Cotto would need to eat A LOT against Floyd to get that done, which I dont see happening)

:good I think Floyd will have Judahs effectiveness on Cotto....but for the whole fight because Judah is only a 6 round fighter. The "x factor" in my opinion is that Cotto doesn't ever get sidetracked from his gameplan and doesn't really ever show excessive frustration, so who's to say he doesn't get to Floyd late? But I still take Floyd for the decision

Cotto knocks out Floyd in 2 seconds, and then challenges God for his next title defense and wins by late stoppage. Nobody can beat Cotto. EZE owns me everyday so i make stupid threads to criticize him and everyone ends up making fun of me.

 

First off - The only reason I added he would move to his left is because you said Cotto is a natural left hander and can box as a southpaw for long periods. Even in this case, he would STILL move to his left, being able to hit Cotto probably even easier with right hands while still avoiding the left hand. And also he would hook and counter Cottos jab.

Judah gave Cotto problems EARLY and hit him early and often with ease with his speed. The only reason Cotto stoped him was because Cotto cheated and had to low blow him.

Exactly, what Judah did to Cotto early, Floyd will do that all night because Floyd fights for 12 rounds not for 6 like Judah.

And yes you are right, Cotto doesn't stray from his gameplan, but that might be his doom.

If his gameplan is to go after Mayweathers body and he's just being repeatedly tagged by Floyd, he'll have to change something up.
