Alright, we get the idea. Yes, heaps of people have been robbed in amatuer competition, especially at the top level. Doesn't make it anymore okay though. Please don't make an individual thread for each individual robbery, otherwise we will need a seperate forum just for your threads alone. Cheers.
I think there are far more many pro robberies than in the amateurs. At least with the amateurs there is an attempt to clarify scoring, sure it doesn't suit everyone but it's less subjective than the pros which in reality (with so many different criteria) can be near impossible to judge.
9 times out of 10 they score it right and if they dont they can go back and hold someone accountable. I would still like to see it tweaked so guys are getting rewarded for clean punching. Because seeing yourself behind can change your approach and gameplan drastically, you might go all out and find yourself further behind. But if you only a few points behind you would stick your plan and may well get ahead eventually. Maybe not showing the tally till the last round?? It certainly does not need to be overhauled, its the right way to do it just maybe could be improved on. I for one really have no ideas except possibly one of the judges sitting in a sealed room with a video feed unmolested by T.V networks, so he is not influenced by the crowd and he can see several angles at once. Which is a bit silly really but its just an idea.
Whatarock we dont need your sensible posting around here mate :-( In regards to your post, yeah i agree. We should make a thread one day discussing how to score boxing. I've seen it done on another site and some posters came up with some very good ideas.
