EPO can only be detected in **** for a very short time, said to be a few days, but can be detected in Blood for a much longer period, but only up to about 6 weeks. If one was only to take three pre-set "RANDOM" blood test and truely random **** tests it would NOT prevent one from using EPO. Those arent my words, but a combination of what the leading men in the fields have said about the stuff.

PS have not we had enough of this stuff anyways, its time to move on:patsch

EPO's benefit is to increase red blood cells, a test that could easily be done immediately after the fight. If you did not have that elevated hematocrit or increase in red blood cell, even if you took one ton of EPO, it was worthless because you never gained anything from it.

Blood is not the legal test for EPO.

Because HGH is a natural hormone that is immediately metabolized by the body. It is like trying to catch a 400 kilometer per hour sports car, you could smell its exhaust but the car itsef is already gone.

I'm not sure where your headed but the pharmaco's make these drugs for medical reasons. EPO is used to treat blood diseases. Thus they'll make their returns thru legit uses. Oh btw, they now work with the wada to create tests to detect their drugs.

So I'm not sure how they're capitalizing on sales to dopers.

Apparently, people who have questionable elevated hematocrit can be tested for EPO. Modern testing differentiates recombinant EPO versus a naturally produced one.

A urine test can even detect this:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8395732.stm

    <snip>
A urine test that can differentiate between dangerous and safe snoring is possible, say researchers at the University of Chicago.

They looked at 90 children referred to a clinic to be evaluated for breathing problems in sleep, and 30 controls.

A number of proteins were increased in the urine of the children diagnosed with dangerous snoring.

The research is published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

The team say their findings need to be repeated but may lead to a simple test.

    Sleep tests

The children all had standard overnight tests and some were classified as having obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

    ..........more

EPO is used extensively for people who have kidney failure and thus unable to produce erythropoietin, thus patients count in hundreds of millions.

HGH is used in patients who have dwarfism due to inadequate HGH production.

Even steroids were not designed to enhance athletic performance. They have thousands of medical uses like anti-inflammatory, to control immune systems that are in hyperdrive like in cases of auto-immune diseases, in patients who have abnormal hormonal issues, etc.
