TO ANYONE WHO WILL GIVE ME A SERIOUS ANSWER? I have never boxed, but always a big fan. I would like to know exactly what is proper for cutting off the ring. I've seen times when what I thought was the definition, I hear guys saying "fighter X, Y, or Z can't cut off the ring for ****", and the opposite. So what is the clear definition of cutting off the ring and how is it done properly?
How 'bout this: Decebal, how highly do you rank Guzman. I'm going to assume you think he'll beat Soto (for the record, I certainly do): how do you think he matches up against Pac-Man and JMM?
RUSKULL what positive attributes does Wlad harbour apart from being big and reasonably athletic with a good jab?
I don't know how good Guzman is because he hasn't been tested against the best yet. He has always managed to mess around macho-man style and win comfortably, even against Barrios. Soto should provide a better test. If Guzman doesn't beat Soto...he was overrated despite his elite skill - his temperament let him down badly. Guzman has the kind of skills, which, if properly implemented following a good game plan, should be good enough to test Pacman and JMM like they have rarely been tested before. I question Guzman's attitude though. The Soto fight should provide some answers. If he wins, I would place him third, after Pac and JMM...I think he would give Pacman more trouble than JMM, because JMM might avoid the brawls and outbox him. (I am by no means an expert on Guzman or his division - please ask someone more appropriate!:good)
Oops. Sorry, I assumed too much based on the avatar. For what it's worth, I'm pretty much of the same opinion. I would add that I think he matches up better with pacman than with JMM, who I believe could give him fits.
