Adrain suffered a injuring in his hand while sparring for his world title fight against Chad Dawson, so the fight with him and Dawson had to be canceled. Im sure the injury must have been pretty bad/serious, cause Adrian is pretty hungry and I think he is ready at winning the world title(WBC) from Chad Dawson. The fight was canceled and Dawson fought last replacement, Colombian Mendoza. Certainly, he beat him via TKO in the early rounds.

Keep in mind, Adrian Diaconu is still the mandatory challanger for the WBC crown v Chad Dawson. This fight should happen some time early next year. I just hope Adrian recoves as soon as possible, couse im pretty hyped for this fight! I think it will be a great fight. According to news sources, the bout will happen some times early next year. This will be a tough test from Dawson.

Diaconu packs a great punch, and he has a Rocky Marciano type fighting style. I think this give Dawson a tough test. Im just waiting til Adrian get fit for his fight, so in time he can fight Dawson soon. The fight will happen early next year imo. Diaconu will be ready.

Decebel, do you think that David Haye gave a plausable excuse when saying that in struggling to make 200lbs his 'legs were hollow' and intentionally went on one knee to regain composure.

i kinda beleive it as much as i believe that he went on one knee to propose to mormeck.

do you think this is a common symptom of weight drain?

Well, good fighters do their best not to back up in a straight line. They move away at an angle. So, fighters that are attacking fighters that dont back up in a straight line (good fighters) must move laterally to "cut off the ring" or else, if they just attack straight, then will be running in circles trying to catch his opponent.

Chad Dawson is a very good young fighter who has the tools to become the undisputed light heavyweight champion.

For being such a young fighter, he shows great poise and seems very relaxed in the ring (those are two qualities I look for in young fighters). He has excellent footwork, excellent ring generalship, and surprisingly good defense for a young fighter. He can be hit and he can be put down, but he can get up off the canvas and continue to execute his gameplan. I really like the way he puts his punches together as well - both to the body and the head. Of course the thing that sets him apart is his handspeed, which is up there with Joe Calzaghe's. He reminds me of a mix between Roy Jones Jr and Michael Nunn.

If he and Hopkins fought next spring, I would expect Dawson to win a clear decision, but not terribly lopsided (118-110, 119-109). He would outspeed Hopkins and outwork him. Hopkins would find the mark with straight right hands from time to time, but Dawson would do some nice work as well. I see this as a 116-112 type decision for Bad Chad.

I wouldn't consider myself an "expert" on this subject, but I greatly appreciate the question Decebal:good

From what I have read and heard from both promoters. This fight won't happen unless both of them are world champions and it's a unification fight.

I wouldn't expect to see this fight be made until 2009.

i wont rank lacy as top 10 until i see if he is back v manfredo, if he looks sharp and does a number on manfredo as he should he will go back in at 6.

larsen will be a surprise and not on most lists but he is a very good technical boxer, his only drawback is he thinks to much in the ring and does not let it flow, but if you come onto him, he is a great counterpuncher.

miranda`s win over green puts him at 8 even if it was at the weight below, porras win means nothing.

unitas, is Markus Beyer formally retired, de facto retired or just taking a break? Does anyone know? Has he given an explanation for his lack of action for 11 months now...Is he looking for big money, big named opponent fights a la Mundine but doesn't want the bother of fighting journeymen to stay busy, or what?
