I doubt Hearn puts him in with Askin this early. Askin is above British level he shouldn't still be at this level but he'll fancy this for the money and profile, no doubt in my mind Askin would destroy him!

Okolie tweeted about this fight recently and said something along the lines of “the fans won’t see it”. He said it was not a fight he was ready for. Then he deleted the tweets. Genuinely serious btw.

Okolie will get dropped by askin all day long, not surprised he’s said no thanks

I think he was just messing and this looks like it'll be on now. Askin stops him for me.

Good fight is okolie takes it -- he has a horrible style but is huge and useshis physicalilty toget the job done

I really rate askin and see it as a 50-50. Hope it does happen

In a very recent interview Okolie said he fancies himself to beat Askins.

I would probably pick Okolie because he is on the up, it would be a matchroom show and they are guiding Okolie carefully and rather cleverly but I wouldn't pick him wi any real confidence, it's a tough fight for him at this stage of his career.

I would argue that Askins is on the up as well. He has been flying lately with good wins over Tommy McCarthy, Craig Kennedy and Stephen Simmons.

    Askins beats Okolie handily IMO.

Okolie swerves this. It’s the wrong time for Okolie and Askin is experiencing an Indian summer of his career.

Yeah I can see what you're saying, they are a list of very good wins.

I'd pick Okolie but not with full confidence, it is a good fight, I'd like to see it.

Okolie isn’t as bad as some love to make out. I’m not saying he’s going to go on to become a unified world champion or anything but the facts are his power is legit, he’s tall, rangey and awkward. I think he would be favourite going in against most (if not all) of the British fighters his weight.
