i have no evidence as such.

but im convinced Floyd Mayweather has a naturally high VO2 Max.

in other words he has a natural stamina and converts oxygen into fuel at an alamringly quick rate. Much like an endurance athlete.

the guys stamina is the best ive ever seen from a boxer.

add that attribute to his immense boxing talent, and you have an amazing athlete.

    Mate.......stop getting carried away.

Why is Floyd Mayweathers stamina that much better than other fighters..? Do you know what he averages on punch output..? Not much mate, the heavyweights form the 90's, 80's, 70's out worked Floyd Mayweather in punch output.

He was flustered and very very uncomfortable vs Ricky Hatton, was fatigue badly against Luis castillo I. Floyd Mayweather is a relax fighter, and just like Bernard Hopkins makes fighters fight at his pace..? he dictates the pace, because basically they are stalling or confused.

I would'nt say he has the highest VO2max, he is physically in condition..? Make no doubt about it, but his fights are not really high intensity.

    Floyd Mayweather's fitness is overrated.

Just thought id point out at the beginning you put a question mark after a non-question then failed to put a question mark after a question immediately afterwards.

    Just saying

Nigel Benn had huge lats, Eubank did aswell.

On the note on big hands, big hands may not mean more power but it must make a bit of difference, more damage will be done due to the larger surface area that's being hit. :yep

Yeah, but smaller hands means the same power through a smaller surface area so more pressure.

The gloves would be a bit tighter, and the bones in the hand a bit more durable. I've got fragile hands, I know I hold back a little if the feel of the wraps/gloves isn't perfect, so maybe it's just a higher degree of commitment.

The other argument though is that if you have little hands, all your power is concentrated on a smaller area, which makes a shot more forceful. Swings and roundabouts I think.

I've sparred with a short stocky cruiser whose power 'felt' different, like a slow shoving force that drove through you. Nowhere near as unpleasant as being hit by a light welter who is 6ft of legs and spaghetti arms, but when he hits you it feels like he's using a golf club.
