A horrible story. Really shows the depths that some people will sink to, and the dishonesty that goes with it.

I watched that fight and couldn't believe the amount of damage Resto did to Collins. I also watched this Documentary and felt no sympathy for Resto and only contempt for that POS trainer Panama Lewis. The fact that Lewis is still involved in any way with boxing is a disgrace to the sport.

I find it hard to believe Resto had no idea what was happening, just as I find it hard to believe Margarito's claim he had no idea his hands were illegally wrapped before the Mosely fight.

The ones I feel for are the Collins family for the loss of their son because of what happened that night. His life went downhill after taking that beating and became too much for him to bear in the long run. Tough story.

Correct - Resto did admit, but you gotta remember. Resto knew nothing else, he is and was a dumb person. Basically his biggest father figure is wanting him to do something, of course he's not going to say no.

    But let's be honest.

Collins career was not ended by Resto, nor did Collins suffer any permanent damage.

The worst part of the story is the Collins father. He killed his son.

I felt sorry for the present day Resto. It looked like he had genuine regret.

Resto knew the gloves had been messed with. This is a professional fighter. A guy whose job it is to wear boxing gloves. The second those gloves were put on, I am confident he knew they were not right. He also says plaster was put on his hands. Well aware of these facts. I do think he has a genuine regret for what happened. How couldn't he after it wreaked havoc on so many lives, including his own.

Resto is probably the kind of guy who when it happened, didn't think about the consequences, was told to do it, and went out there to bash Collins face in and win the fight. He doesn't seem like the type who stops and says "wait a second... what can come of this, and is this right?" He didn't have a father figure, and you can tell by the way he talks to Panama that he is intimidated.. talking constantly with his head down and avoiding any eye contact. I don't think it was any different in the locker room that night. He was given a pair of gloves, had his hands wrapped, and told to go out there and fight, which is what he did.

For me the biggest piece of **** is Panama Lewis.

Resto ****ed up, his whole lifestyle was ruined, he went to jail, and this whole time has been living a practically meaningless existence until recently. It is clear he has this fight weighing him down everywhere he goes. He paid the price, and continues to pay the price for his decision that night, and carries his shame with him. At least he had the balls to come full circle. While Panama is a scheming crooked piece of ****, who will never have the fortitude to do what Resto was able to do.. even if it took him so many years.

Also another ****ed part is basically Collins died because his father controlled his life.
