Why? Certainly it's been pretty well disproven that he had loaded gloves against Willard so which fight are you referring to?

Excellent article, thanks. It's hard to to have a ton of respect for Collins but going the distance in that fight. But unfortunately in boxing the fights true warrior spirit can be their undoing if they don't have someone in their corner protecting them. Given the scorecard, and the condition of Collins face and the fact he was nearly blind, this fight likely should have been stopped 3-4 rounds earlier.

I know he had a good record in argentina but after one good win over foly he had a beating off archie moore then a young ali before dying after his next fight, I dont know anymore details than this, I would be intrested if you could tell me more.

what substance can you drink, that would effect you within 30 seconds, like your saying pryor did?

Asthma medication is what Luis Resto himself said Panama Lewis would give him. Either way, there should have been no "mixing" at all.

    Does it really matter?

Do you think you're allowed to just drink anything you want during the fight and then present this type of argument afterwards?

You can't just go and take a drug enhanced drink when you're fighting, regardless of what the hell it is, that's fairly basic knowledge.

You should watch the documentary, not only is the substance identified, as the post above indicates, you can also clearly hear Panama Lewis directing which bottle the Pryor should be drinking from. This amounted to Pryor taking a form of drug enhanced liquid WHILE he was fighting.

Honestly, can you get any more blatant?

I watched the whole sad story. everyone involved was guilty of having far too much ruthless ambition. There was a lot at stake here, a win was a gateway into a beter future. oppertunitys are few in boxing and both guys -and their corners - decided they could not afford to lose at any cost. They took it too far.

The resto corner and resto himself went way too far with their cheating. The colins team should have pulled billy out but they obviously felt they could not afford to do so. they showed no mercy or quit -to their own cost.

even the oficials let themselves down, they were too ambitious, afraid of upsetting the fans.

Are you trolling or what? Go read "A Flame of Pure Fire" and come to your own conclussion.

They actually tested this theory out, and it turns out it damages the fighters hands, more than the opponent.

That's point one, and point two there's a dispute as to how much damage Willard actually received. By some accounts he didn't sustain nearly the damage that was claimed and the guy making the claim had no qualifications to do so. Apparently Willard was interviewed on his farm a week later and he looked fine.
