Lopez coming and looking to lead again, Salido jabbing and looking for a counter. He sees his opportunity and grabs it with both hands (literally :sisi1) and flurries with a short left hook and a brutal uppercut which left poor Lopez looking up at the lights, wishing he'd just had a quiet night in.

    I had Salido up TOS

I found his Marquez fight pretty boring. Too bad. They both could be dynamite when it suited them.

    Round 1: Lopez 10-9, close.

Lopez boxing nicely, moving to his right and flicking his lead whenever Salido tried to get inside. Salido kept coming, though and swung his hooks, looking to land big. Lopez just calm, and expertly, moving away and turning him before knuckling down a little more and exchanging with Siri. Not much landed from either until the end, where Lopez landed better.

    Round 2: Salido 10-9, close.

Lopez fighting now, but still fighting off the back-foot. Salido allowed to work now and his combos and body work caught Lopez repeatedly whilst blocking any sort of shots from Lopez off his elbows. Lopez landed some nice shots too, and evidently has excellent boxing skills. Depends what you like here, and I liked actually landing. Salido crowding more efficiently but neither were landing full on flush yet, haven't found their range yet.

    Round 3: Lopez 10-9, clear.

To start off, Salido instigates a battle of leads, pawing nonchalantly but looking to open Lopez up for a right. He can't, and throws the right, downstairs, anyway. Lopez adapting quickly and countering the pawing lead with a right hook. Salido crowding, somewhat desperately, and cutting off the ring but he simply wasn't good enough at it to keep Lopez pinned. Lopez was boxing cutely again and working with counters behind a solid jab. Salido sneaking some shots in, though, Lopez was doing it more. Lopez just boxing at range until the end.

    Round 4: Salido 10-9, clear.

Lopez knuckling down now. You don't try and 'out-tough' a toughman. It doesn't work. Siri tagged him with countless arcing shots, be it hooks downstairs or blistering overhands. Lopez was getting lit up and not offering much in return aside from shifty movement and glancing blows. Siri clearly took this one.

Half way through, I have it even 38/38. So far, it's better than the 2nd fight. Lopez is really good, 30(27)-0 coming into it, showing some masterful skills at long-range too. Salido's bravado really was formidable.

Press row's scored of 39-37, 39-37, 40-36 are somewhat acceptable.

    Round 5: Salido 10-8, clear.

Lots of close up fighting, where the patterns of the fight played out evidently. Lopez was moving around, throwing shorter, sharper shots but Salido unaffected and ploughing through. Siri's offense was less diverse/technical but more clobbering at a higher volume. They traded profusely up close, and after 2½ minutes of close fought action, Lopez getting the better of it ever so slightly, Salido landed a jaw-crunching overhand which put Lopez down. He got up, and fought back bravely but Siri was all over him until the bell.

    Round 6: Salido 10-9, clear.

Momentum swung now! Salido catching him and rocking him, repeatedly. Lopez fighting back hard and showing true championship material, and making some awesome action. Salido clearly won, though.
