...what route should he try and pursue to get back into the welterweight mix?

He's Not Going To Fight Margarito Or Berto ... Two Options Would Be Williams And Clottey ...

There is no $$ for Mosely fighting guys like Williams and Clottey.

Margarito is the new money man at welterweight.

A fight between Margarito and Mosely would be great,
both in the ring and at the box office.

He may have a shot against someone like Kermit Cintron or Carlos Quintana ... Carlos Baldomir or Luis Collazo for a mandatory shot at a title ...

Mosley isn't going to fight Margarito ... he would have to make a nice chunk of change and from what I know about Margarito ... he's not that type of fighter and neither is Shane Mosley.

..yikes!!! Clottey vs Mosley would be an ugly fight :yikes ....Mosley doesn't have enough in the gas tank I think..But I'd be rooting for him.

If Hopkins vs. Wright is PPV worthy then Shane vs. Margarito is too. :good

A fight with Berto would make the most sense. it is the most winnable for Shane and it would give him a title

Wright is more known that Margarito will ever be ... he fought big names in Vargas, Trinidad, Taylor, Mosley, and Ike Quartey --

Margarito's whole resume doesn't top those quality type fighters ... and Hopkins had over 20 title defense and has been seen more on HBO than Margarito.

Shane Mosley hasn't won a meaningful fight since 2001 and has lost his last fight.

    A. Mosley's win over Collazo was meaningful (and so was his rematch with DLH, and to a lesser extent, his wins with Vargas).

    B. Many observers, myself included, would dispute that.

I also say fight Margarito, any fighter has a very good chance of Outboxing Tony, as long as they dont get their nose broke in the second round and they can keep him in the center of the ring.
