.............is Pacquiao / Martinez the fight that MUST be made?

    Simple yes or no question.

Then Pacquiao/Martinez would just be playing into Floyd's game.

Take each other out and pick on them when they show weakness.

Because Floyd won't fight him. I think Pac would be more reluctant to fight him than Floyd, especially if the fans want it to happen.

But it would have to be at a catch weight around the same as Margarito, and even that I still think Pac would lose.

yes i want to see this fight but the question is on what weight it would be fair for both fighters? pac had just weight 144.6 in his last fight whereas sergio weighed 157.5. pac was 148 on fight night compared and how much was martinez?

i guess even at 154, pac would be severely handicapped size-wise.

No, because Martinez is too big. Martinez is a 160 fighter, and Pacquiao is a 147 fighter.

I would rather see Pac move down to 140.

    Good pickings down there.

That's exactly why this is a great fight because it's a pick 'em fight. This would be a TRUE test for Pacman, not just another guy he is supposed to beat. If Pacman wins, he shoots further up the ATG list. He loses, so what, even SRR lost at LHW. People will still give him credit for trying.

I believe Pac is crazy enough to entertain this notion....didn't he wanna challenge Margo right after the Hatton fight?
