Assuming Pavlik did finally agree to face Abraham and got beaten, what then?

Arum is clearly going to make as much money as he can before he puts Pavlik in with Abraham which would be a huge fight and a risk also.

I bet we will see Pavlik/Duddy early this summer it is a money fight for Arum in New York.

If Arum were smart he would make a rematch clause for an Abraham fight say if they fight in the States and Kelly loses he gets a rematch in Germany or visa versa. That way he can get more money out of Pavlik.

If there is any ducking going on it sure as hell ain't Pavlik, or Top Rank. I can name at least 4 guys who SAID they wanted KP, but in the end wouldn't fight. Sauerland wouldn't even let Fulgencio Zuniga near AA. Instead they fought the great Elvin Ayala, and Zuniga got ****ing screwed AFTER vacating his IBO SMW title for a shot at AA.

Pavlik isn't losing to Abraham here's why:

Abraham has little to no head movement.
When Abraham opens up to punch, he is wide open for right hands.
He is always in punching range.
When he's not throwing he just stands there, flat-footed and only covering his head, this would open up his body for Pavlik.

When a fighter stays within range and doesn't move his head, he is almost certainly guaranteed to lose to a fighter such as Kelly Pavlik.

Well Pavlik lost to B-Hop (one of the best) and if he lost to Abraham he'd be losing to the best again, now if he had lost to Rubio then he'd have a problem. Its kinda like Edison Miranda: 3 losses, 1 to Pavlik, 2 to Abraham, but he lost to the best so it dosent hurt him as much.

Pavlik is your typical mental warrior, he'd come back strong from any kind of loss. He's young, I think capable of significant improvement, probably under another trainer, and has many performances in him. Another loss would mean nothing, that's what Arum should realize. Pavlik-Hopkins was too one-sided, but if it was something like a 116-112 loss, Pavlik would've made new fans, and would make new fans despite (IF) losing to Abraham, even if it's a TKO.

So with King Arthur moving up, other than a loss, (which is overrated anyway), Kelly would simply move on picking up another title, another packed house with the loyal fans, another Top Rank PPV or HBO date. Pavlik is exactly the kind of fighter who'd rather have many losses but fight everyone than being protected and having a decade of unbeaten run. It's the very reason I'm pushing for KP-AA, because AA won't be here too long, and it's the only top elite fight for Pavlik out there - so who gives a **** if Pavlik loses or Abraham loses, the fans will win, and if the fans win, the fighters win.

A few hundred or even a few thousand people on internet boxing sites, all swearing they will never pay for another fight, are a small segment of "boxing fans".
