You can take Duran from Montreal, Manilla, or Panama City, and he would get beaten badly by Hearns.

And this is where my sarcastic smart ass comment about Hearns pays off. He quite simply isn't unbeatable, yet people don't seem to think that.

Negative. Montreal Duran would make all the soul-glo from Tommy's jerry curl fly from his head. Tommy would get flashbacks of Pryor beating him in the ams, only this time it would be Duran in the pros. Tommy was better at 154 and higher he'd get backed up and not be able to sit on his punches. 147 Montreal Duran beats him. I love Tommy, but Montreal Duran beats his ass.

Nobody beats Floyd at 130. The guy was too damn good at that weight.

Marcel is one of the greats, regardless of name recognition. Villa isn't in either respect, you're right. Although he'd be one of the top fighters from 135 and up today. I'd also agree that some of the current fighters could do very well in any era given their skill and talent, but when talking Duran, who is just about the most skilled fighter I've seen on film, it's tough seeing them pulling of victories (not to say some like a prime Mayweather wouldn't be competitive for a while).
