Fortuna is also a southpaw and one that has speed as well as pop...so it'd be interesting to see what Broner has in his tool bag. No one besides DeLeon made him dig. I want to see what he's made of...

DeMarco seems like a bigger version of Escobedo...not sure what he'd bring to the table, but I still think it's worth seeing since he's a belt holder.

I dont know anything about Burns but I see the dude has 9 KOs on his record. Does not seem like elite power to discourage Broner.

Vasquez seems to be the best at 135 now that JMM, Guerrero and Rios left the division.
The dude is slick and brown and is 5'10" with a 72" wingspan. I saw Escobedo landing his jab alot against Broner with the ocasional right hand. I can see a taller rangier fighter doing the same to Broner and alot more efficiently.

DeMarco is someone who can never be counted out. You may outbox him 10 rounds but those last 2 he will make you go through hell to get that UD. He also has very heavy hands.
This I think would go alot like the PDL fight for Broner. They are both very heavy handed punchers but DeMarco has the better technique and I feel he would make Broner run once he felt the power. However no way in hell DeMarco wins unless it is a stoppage and even then if the fight is in Texas he still might lose.

Burns isn't a superstar and is a guy who's overachieved with limited talent. He's also recognised in the UK as one of the most humble and down to earth champions ever to come out of here,so why there's this desire for a wonderfully talented prospect to destroy the guy is beyond me.
Also calling him a bum is way out of line.None of his fans claim that he's a P4P'r,just a humble guy who's done very well so this sudden bloodlust to see him destroyed seems to be restricted to a few posters whose motives are a bit strange.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hayman tells Broner to forget about him as he'll hold no appeal for the majority of HBO viewers. The fact he's now #1 for the WBO belt yet still mentions DeMarco suggests the fight might not be on his/their agenda.
I reckon he won't even hang around at 135 for long since there's not many money fights at the weight right now.140 has a lot of quality guys without belts, and Broner looks more than big enough to get up there.

He can't make the weight...have we not established this already? Furthermore, he beats the **** out of Uchiyama, no disrespect to Uchiyama who's a really good fighter.

Demarco would be a good fight because it would allow Broner to show his toughness. Demarco would make it a rough tough fight...

Sorry mate, should have made it clearer I wasn't referring to you.Earlier posts had a guy who's been bitching about racial and ethnic slurs yet comes on calling Burns a Scottish bum.
No harm meant mate, was just referring to other posts whilst discussing Burns in response to your post.:good

Shame on Burns for moving up instead of weighing almost 4 pounds over the Super Featherweight limit. Funny how all of a sudden Broner can't make 130 either..... Someone's bias.

You are probably right but still, that isn't a good reason not to fight the number 1 at your weight.

I mean people probably said this before Tyson vs Douglas, and many more examples where the favourite was beat by the underdog.

No point talking about it now though since Broner isn't capable of making the weight anymore.
