Chavez takes it at 140, no question.

Mid round stoppage - Cotto didn't have the stamina, chin, or defense to last with a prime Chavez. He'd get worn down.

    Sorry, you're right.

In that case, it's a toss-up. Cotto's a better boxer, Castillo has a better chin - probably better in-fighting skills since Cotto likes to operate from a distance.

Yea , its hard i think, Castillo's prime weight was realy 135, but i'll disregard that in the interest of the thread.

Castillo was class/great pressure fighter at his peak, Cotto can mix it up with his boxing and fighting ability, but his defence is not the best imo. I'll pick Cotto to edge him in a great 1, either way it could though

Same, actually. Probably lean towards Cotto 115-113, but it could go either way.

    At 140 mate?

Cotto by stoppage, even though Castillo was shot against Hatton, we saw his lack of a size advantage being an apparant factor and Cotto hits harder than Hatton with more precision.

Don't forget, a very good version of Castillo was stopped by Corrales in that legendary fight. Corrales to Cotto is a big difference in size and skill, even though Cotto's really come into his own at Welterweight.

    Food for thought.

Better in fighting skill, but a lot slower.... a lot.
