At 147, who should Mayweather have fought next to enhance his legacy in the sport?

At Welterweight- not at Jr Middleweight, not at Middleweight, not Brock Lesnar at Heavyweight- Welterweight.

Or are you one of these 'nobody enhances Mayweather's legacy anymore' types :nut

Garcia, Khan, Thurman, Porter, Brook, Bradley... any of them but Bradley would be the best scalp though he's with top rank. Brook would unify all the belts and he's unbeaten but only one good opponent. Thurman is undefeated but only had a few legit tests, Garcia has lost unofficially and looked poor against Peterson, wins over Matthysse and Khan are good. Khan has a few impressive wins and a different style than we're used to seeing Mayweather dealing with. Porter beat Broner convincingly which is a decent win, has a few decent other wins and a relentless pressuring style. All good wins but nothing to shout from the hilltops about so wouldn't improve his legacy all that much to be honest, obviously five times as impressive as Berto though.

The answer is of course, The Special One: Kell Brook at Wembley Stadium.

Here is the reason, why it would enhance his legacy.

Had Mayweather paid his sanctioning fees it would be for all 4 major titles in the 147 division. In the era of split titles nobody has done this at Welterweight. The winner of this fight would do what Bernard Hopkins did when he beat Oscar De La Hoya.

All great champions travel. Mayweather has been a stay at home fighter his entire career and not left his comfort zone. Fighting on foreign soil, in front of the largest audience of his career would tick these boxes.

Kell brook would of been a great fight.

Void would of probably lost too, I could see K`s chocolate brownies landing all night and shattered that roided dome.

It would make a great show at Wembley with 80k ppl :happy and 1million + ppv.

    Instead with get bertoe..

    For sure.

And it would make a stink load of money too. Probably more than canelo did. Taking into account how many Brita would be paying ppv.

    Bradley.

That's the one fighter who would give him trouble, and the one fighter he rarely mentions.

    Brook is overrated.

Bradley hasn't got a punch to trouble may. And he ain't out boxing him.
Brook`s right hand would land all night long with speed power and precision

His work rate and chin alone would trouble May.

Brook is VERY slow. He'd never touch Floyd. It'd be a whitewash.

A little known fact is that Hatton made more than Mayweather when they fought because he got 100% of the British PPV revenue. At that was at 5am.

Imagine if he fought at 10pm and all the boozers are showing it (which have to pay about 250 quid to show PPV)

The one punch that Mayweather struggles to get out of the way of is the jab- even against cavemen like Maidana.....and who has the best jab in the division....that's right. The Special One.

Brook, Khan and Thurman are the only threats at 147 for Floyd hence why Berto is next and he will fight PAC again and cash out.
