he looses to both but id say he fairs better v mayweather purely because of there last fight and the mental scars hell have from that

on the other hand mayweather will be the physical match for cotto and also have the ring intelegence

Pacquiao because he's giving up another 7 or 8 pounds to Cotto. Pacquiao can't even gain weight over the 147 weight limit if he tried. I think that might tip the scale in Cotto's favor.

Mayweather, hes less likely to beat him down but then again he could.

I see cotto having a much better chance against Pac. When they fought, during the first 4 rounds it was a very competitive fight. However, it was at 145, 8oz gloves and no corner/trainer. If they fight at 154, with 10 oz gloves, and that nice jab with that composure he showed with foreman along with steward in his corner... He will have a pretty good chance.

At this level, with all physical attributes almost even the better boxer wins. Cotto can/has pretty good chances to outbox Pac. He can't outbox Floyd.

    Agreed.

I'm not sure how effective Manny would be at 154. It would be a stretch for him gain the weight and maintain effectiveness.

That's not to say Cotto beats him but more a case where the weight may give Cotto a better chance.

i think the outcome might be the same but on a complete different type of fashion. I dont think Pac would be able to over whelm Cotto with the same amount of punches but since he has other good tools i see him winning the fight.

I don't see it. He looked ordinary against Foreman. He ain't ready, may never be.

I wanted to say Pac, but only because Pac will fight, Mayweather will be scared to fight Cotto. Especially after he got knocked out by feather fisted Mosley in round 2.

i mean cotto did go down swinging against pac. Floyd might not go for a ko but i think cotto wouldn't even be able to make it competitive. pac will do more damage to cotto but he will recieve some again.

He was giving Pac a little bit of trouble early. If he can continually to box in a more composed manner with Steward, and he's more comfortable at the weight, and Pac is a little more uncomfortable or outweighed by 7 or 8lbs, who knows?

    Both defeat him.
But a possible better chance against the smaller Pac. (On paper)
That said, Pacquiao once again breaks him down.

He loses to both but gets less of a beating against Mayweather purely because Mayweather will just make a fool out of him with his skills rather than beat him down with power and flurries
