Better chance against Pac especially at such a disadvantageous weight for Pacquiao. Cotto is not fast enough with hands or feet to hang with Floyd.

If I'm Cotto I take my chances with Pac which is more likely to happen anyway, considering Arum wants to keep things in-house. Floyd has had experience at 154 and he fared just fine. I can see Floyd landing his straight right on Cotto all night. Pac already has a hard time making 147. Making Pac come up to 154 would be putting pressure on him. Last time Cotto fought Pac it was at 145 which is almost a 10 lb difference from 154. That's quite a jump if you really think about it. Guzman showed us just a few pounds is all he needed to get the better of Funeka.

Pac is a beast but I believe Cotto along with Steward can be a force at 154. I've heard Steward comment on Pac a number of times during his past fights. Seems like he knows Pac's style pretty well. I don't see Cotto giving Paul or Sergio much competition. Besides, he'd make much more money fighting Pac and gets a chance to avenge his loss. Pacquiao all the way. Initially this rematch disgusted me. But now I actually wouldn't mind watching it considering the circumstances. It has to happen at 154 though. Otherwise it's Pac vs. a handicapped version of Cotto and that's no fun to watch.

How can Pac even make 154? Kind of a silly question. How about who he fares better against at welterweight? In which case I'd say Mayweather, since Pacquiao will do a more brutal job on him then before.

His walk-around weight is reportedly 150-155. He was slated to fight Yuri earlier this year. So I'm guessing his team would be able to find a way to get him to fight at that weight without compromising too much of his skills/strengths. If Yuri had been shorter we might've seen the fight. I don't expect Team Pac to meet Cotto at 154 though. Roach knows that's not smart. If they do fight it'll be at a catchweight again. If I'm Cotto I don't fight Pac at anything below 154. Too dangerous, given his speed.

I'm so sick of people saying, "Oh, but Cotto had successful early". So what? A lot of fighters had successful early before being dominated. As soon as Pacman started letting his hands go, it was over. Pacman was feeling Cotto out the first couple of rounds.

I believe Pacquiao is a greater fighter than Mayweather, and I believe he will beat Mayweather in the ring, but stylistically I think Cotto would do better in a Pacquiao rematch than he would against Floyd. Floyd vs Cotto would be horribly one-sided, Floyd is too fast and too accurate for Cotto, and I think he would shock many people by proving to be every bit as strong and powerful as Miguel. I honestly think Cotto would struggle to win a round. I'd back Pac to beat him pretty handily again as well, but at least Pac could be drawn into a fight and that could result in some close rounds, Floyd will not be drawn into a fight with Cotto until Cotto's face looks like a smashed melon and he has very little resistance left.

He'd probably have a better chance at beating Mayweather...but only because we have seen what Pacquiao can do to Cotto, his speed and angles are always going to trouble him...no matter what weight. Although Mayweather has fought up at 154lbs before...thats a big advantage Mayweather has over Pacquiao. But saying that, it's not as if Cotto is comfortable at 154lbs yet...

Cotto would have a much better chance of beating floyd much better. Simply because of floyd's style. When Cotto is fighting relaxed like when he is in with a defensive fighter and he's the one moving forward he is so much better. His timing, accuracy etc. is so much better. I think cotto would give floyd all he could handle TBH. While against pac he will yet again feel the pressure of an offensive monster like none other.
