At 168 could Miranda beat any of the following?

Kessler and Bute would outbox him, it's possible that Mundine can win a close decision.

 

I would expect Bute and Kessler to win a comfortable decision, he's a bit too crude to beat them

Froch would be interesting, because his defence is rubbish but his chin is solid. He's never been down, or even rocked, but perhaps Miranda has the power to do it. That would be a good fight

Since when is Zuniga a top SMW?

I would say:

Kessler would KO him mid rounds
Bute would outbox him and stop him late
Mundine would outbox him and stop him late or wide UD
Zuniga - 50/50 - would be a very close fight but Miranda could probably do it...I would go with Miranda.
Andrade - Andrade by late TKO stoppage...(pressure)
Froch would probably KO him mid-late rounds, after being outboxed (impossible to say how good Froch is against a good boxer, though, even against one with a less than very good chin...Inkin will show us)
Inkin would outbox him to a fairly wide UD
Bika - very interesting...- close fight but I'm going with Bika by narrow UD; don't think Miranda would stop him and would do very well to outpoint him; Bika more experienced and tricky...

Kessler lost a good fight to JC while Lacy took a 12 rounds beating. You can't compare those 2 fights.

 

Joe only needed to watch the Kess/Mundine fight to see some obvious flaws in the way Kessler fights. A very timid Mundine who was on the back foot most of the time took four rds off Kessler. Im expecting Kessler to be beaten a few more times before his career is over.

Response to topic, Miranda can be outboxed quite easily by alot of the fighters on the list.

People calling Kessler another Jeff Lacy just don't know what they're talking about.

 

Yes you make an excellent point, it seemed the man with the fortitude to handle mis-steps within the fight was the victor. Kessler seemed to be stronger, sharper and fresher.....though he mentally dwindled into a pup.

 

No he's not another Lacey.......he's a step or two above but he did show that same glazed look at a point or two in the fight.

 

Miranda would lose against Kessler, Mundine and Bute. Against Froch, Bika and Andrade he would have a chance and the rest he would beat IMO.

 

Yeah. All the credit for Joe's victory over Mikkel should go to Mundine.

And Joe should send a big fat check to Mundine even though The Man doesn't need the money.
