Nah, I think Shogun would've no worries getting to Rashad eventually. Difference with Jones and Rashad is that Bones is actually dangerous when he gets you down. Rashad has gone back to his pre-Chuck days of stinking the place out.

No body has kicked Jones to the legs and body like Shogun will. Just thought Id bring that up. This one is going to be about durability at attrition imo. Can Jones wear Shogun out physically like Forrest did while taking punishment himself? BIG question

That's what people forget about the Forrest fight; Griffin came through a lot to take Shogun into deep water.

He did indeed, I know Shogun wasnt at his best but it's still an underrated win in some aspects. People are using it as justification that Jones is favourite and that's madness. Jones can win, but he's gonna be eating a few knees in the clinch to do it. He's not gonna ragdoll Rua all night.

Lets wait and see, I think Rua is gonna walk him down.

I hope Shogun's stamina holds up to walk him down. The Machida fights could be deceptive in some aspects though. Machida isnt a high pressure fighter and Shogun had moments to catch is breath

    Correct ..........

Shogun will have to close the space and allow Jones no space for a shot , Jones is a Roman Greco wrestler and is just as effective in the clinch as he is from shooting conventionally so it may well become a battle of attrition in the clinch as people have eluded too .

If Shogun can walk , clinch and seperate without getting airborne , this will be big , IMHO this will be Shoguns game plan , walk , kick , clinch , seperate on repeat and look for Jones to make a mistake in between .

When a fit and healthy Rua starts touching you, you are most likely to fold like oragami.

It will be Jones's stamina put to the test if Shogun walks him down , not the other way round . Jones will not effectively be able to shoot on Shogun if he walks him down and utilises his full arsenal of stand up tools to keep him on the back foot .

What he will have to be worried about is .................... how good is Jon Jones in the clinch ?? , and im not talking about in Muay Thai terms im talking about in Wrestling terms !! , if Jones can take Shogun to the ground from the clinch , its gonna take away an angle Shogun is well versed in winning exhanges in , and wont bode well for him . My opinion is that Shogun has a solid muay thai clinch and that will help him in seperating from Jones and re engage in the stand up battle at close quarters .

The Machida fight's are what they are , Shogun stood right in front of him the whole time and picked him apart , he can do the very same to Jones if not more decisively as long as he doesnt get taken down or dominated in the clinch .

Jones stamina seems to be pretty good. I was just adressing the question of Rua's. Coming off a surgery this is a valid point I think.

Clinch, I think everybody who has seen him fight knows Shoguns is ''solid'', not a great revelation. But as Jones hasnt taken on anyone with a ''solid'' clinch game like Rua, I was addressing this point. How will he deal with this aggression to get the take down

Not really sure what points you are trying to make here (P.S. hows my paragraph spacing?)
