It's subjectively measured. Skill is not measured through objective fact. There is no way to do that.

 

Floyd is a top 25 ATG doe... there is no possible way to refute that.

 

So who do you feel is an atg in this era?

 

It is measured by like I said it is. The ability to make world class fighters look average is skill the very fact you refuse to admit this says alot about you.

 

Yeah you can judge a fighters skill level by the eye test, but you can also judge a boxers skill level against elite fighters through their hit and not get hit percentage. It's really not rocket science Tincan.

 

I don't see why the time matters that much to yall.. If he is number one for the last 25 years, the very least he could be is 25 for the last 50 years.. Or do we need to go back to the late 1800s early 1900s to compare as well?

 

That type of measurement is subjective. It's not objective. Subjective measurements aren't supported by facts.

To say a boxer is good or not is an opinion. Now it might sound foolish to deny that Mayweather has skill. But there is no way to 100 percent accurately measure the exact amount of skill any fighter has.

It's opinion based.

 

Like I said.....when u top a list of all fighters for a 25 year period I think there's a place on an atg(ya know...for all time)list for u somewhere

No that doesn't make sense to me, let me say it again.

ALL TIME GREAT, ALL TIME.

Sometimes there are era's when there are no all time great because of the words ALL TIME, that means including fighters from ALL TIME.

If you are asking who was the best fighter of the last 20 years then that's a completely different question.

For example, Is Wladimir Klitschko regarded as the greatest heavyweight of all time or even an all time great?

He was undefeated for a very long time and was heavyweight champion for nearly a decade.

No because his era was poor, his reign wasn't regarded as a special one.
