hes 34 years of age he hasnt fought in over a year his last two fights have been against an old ass mexican lightweight and an old as **** shane mosely, ortiz is in his prime, floyd may still have a few moves but hes completly defensive, at 34 his timing could be off he may have lost some speed, floyd doesnt come forward and is always in that philly shell, ortiz could tee off on him and bust him up, floyd imo doesnt hit as hard as a maidana or berto vic will probably be more adventurous once he realises floyd cant hurt him

His hands are fast and has great reflexes. I think he's deteriorated physically, but his hands should be healthy and in great condition. He could lose because Ortiz starts fast and has the work rate.

he isn't and ortiz cant do ****.

seriously ortiz looked like a faster version of margarito against berto, all he did was go forward and throw punches, floyds gonna eat him up.

floyd is 34 hes lost some speed and timming ortiz is a big hungry strong welterweight and hes a southpaw to say ortiz has no chance is foolish, if floyd comes in and hes aged hes getting ****ed up.

Ortiz is a big puncher and a southpaw, basing this on him dropping 7 of his latest opponents and just because he can hit hard. He also is more hungry than floyd at this point I think.
On the other hand he is open to punches and makes mistakes, he also seems flatfooted.
Floyd is 34, coming of another period of inactivity, gets tagged vs southpaws and im still not sold on his chin, he just recovers greatly and has great defense.
So even if his reflexes would be gone the guy is a solid welter and defensive boxer who figures ortiz out easily.
Its likely to assume mayweather wil win this, easy ud or late tko.
But he will need a couple of rounds to get rid of the rust and we dont know at this point how much he lost? if he is fighting ortiz toe to toe like he is saying then ortiz catching him with something big could very well happen.
Thats basically Ortiz' best shot, go into beast mode attack him hurt him and then finish him off, you cant let him off the hook once he is hurt because if he survives he takes over and beats you up.
So it can happen but its just unlikely, im not counting him out though like most people.

floyds timing will be fine, it might take a few rounds to get going but someone as open as ortiz will get peppered with right hands all night.

Coming from a guy who does not like Mayweather:

He is a beast in the gym. The man walks around in better shape than many guys who enter the ring to fight. He hasn't put his body through severe weight cutting (didn't even care about the limit vs. Marquez) nor been in a "war" in any sense of the word.

If there is a fighter around today who can age gracefully, it's Mayweather. Given his work ethic and overspending lifestyle, I would not be surprised to see him fighting (and paying off the IRS) at 40.

floyd looked great against mosley. 34 is still a not a terrible age for someone with floyd's fighting style. most probably, we will see how green ortiz really is after this fight.

I suggest you rewatch the Mosley fight where he walks Shane down all night

Ortiz will be made to look silly, he wont be smashed up, he will be taken apart

Look forward to another masterclass from the maestro

yeah he looks after himself outside the ring but he also seems more interested in hustling cash with 50(theres nothing wrong with that) boxing doesnt seem to be his sole focus anymore his attitude has changed, ortiz is gonna come in the ring and not give a **** hes gonna try and tear floyd a new arse hole, the only thing im worried about is ortiz coming in in straight lines like he did against berto, hes gotta sort that **** out

Maybe the question should be how much more does Ortiz still have? Floyd though he's been out for awhile, hardly gets hit and is still fresh as a daisy. Ortiz had a war with Maidana where he took vicious neck snapping punches and quit on his stool. Then another war with Berto where he takes more bombs that snap his neck around. His chin is pretty weak. Too many brawls zap the life out of a young fighter early. I'm picking Floyd to win TKO corner stoppage, maybe even dropping him because even if Floyd is not a big puncher at 147, the shots that Ortiz doesn't see will affect him since his defense is horrible. Once he gets in his rhythm and befuddles the young kid, he'll do whatever he wants to.
