As Big George proved anyone with one punch KO power is always dangerous. A focused Tua could definitely get back in the HW picture.

Thought I remember people saying he was broke, is that the reason he seems so focused?

I think it is more than that.

He's been broke for awhile. He seems genuinely to have his old intensity back.

    October 3rd will tell.

Nah tua isn't a threat anymore...pretty much any of the top ten heavys that are ranked right now shouldn't have too much trouble dissposing of him.

short answer is yes. the hw division is seriously shallow. and good punching power and a sturdy chin will get him quite far, maybe even a title shot.

He is 36, but probably still dangerous. I would like to see a fight Tua vs Valuev and 1st round KO :D He has got the power to knock downd the gaint and finish him.

I just do not see tua beating chambers or povetkin and if he can't do that he will never get a shot.

I think Tua could beat a number of Top 10 heavies

October 3rd will tell us a lot

    I don't think he's done at all.

If he was 38 - maybe. But I think the old fire might be back - and at 36 he has time
    for one last run.

A threat to who exactly? Vitali would batter him, no doubt it!

Tua could have been a major threat at one stage. Tua fought an epic battle with Ike Ibeabuchi in one of the best HW fights I've seen, great action! Tua just lost that one, but his showing was something to be proud of & it should have made him into a better fighter!

However, his lack of discipline & dedication contributed to him not going as far as he could have! I'm not saying he would have ruled the division or anything liek that, but I believe his showing against Lewis - he was ordinary & he did not take enough risks & he seemed to get disheartened when he knew it wasn't going his way.

At one stage Tua was being compared to a young Tyson, which was laughable. He was never ever going to anywhere near as good as young Tyson, no matter how dedicated he might have been!

He has not been a threat for years. He is a one armed fighter. A one trick pony. If you can neutralize his left hook you beat him it is that simple.

I don't think he can fight often enough to be a threat anymore, even if he beats Cameron. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though.

Yes - inactivity has been the problem. After Oct 3rd we will see if that changes.

Seems there are new promotors involved - and I think a new "hunger"

I don't get why people keep asking this question. Tua hasn't been a threat for 5+ years. He's pissed away his prime. A win against Cameron (a nobody), should it happen, won't launch him back into title contention as some seem to claim. He might string a few wins together if he and his management can put it together, but still he's not relevant...it's just money in the bank.

It's sad people put their hopes so much on past their prime heroes from a decade ago, instead of looking at new up and coming talents and the active fighters that actually are relevant. Time to let go of the past.
