Vitali manhandled Lewis. Lennox was fortunate for the cut or else he would have been stopped, probably within the next two rounds. Kellerman, I believe (who was at the fight), and others have said that Lewis was gone, done, after the 6th round. But Lennox hit the "Cut Lottery" that night. He was smart enough to retire after that fight rather than give Vitali the rematch he said he would. Wise man.

Briggs buzzed Lewis. He never did that against Vitali, even though he hit him pretty solidly last night.

Lewis was a terrific fighter. Not nearly as dominant as Vitali but a good fighter nonetheless. They are now both 41-2, the only difference being that Vitali has a higher KO % and Lewis also has one draw.

That's very impressive. Young fighters should follow his steps.

oh, I think you are right, he is not really a power puncher, or a one punch knockout artists as say, Lewis and Wlad are/were. But for the armpunches VK does, he hits pretty hard I would say. Sooner or later, most of the guys break down.

I also think he fights differently these days. He dispatched Kirk Johnson in two rounds and was all seek and destroy. These days he is more measured, hitting more often, but will less powe, mixing from time to time a hard right. I think he just evolved and became a bit less exciting than he was previously.

ur a ****ing ****** for creating this thread

clearly the lack of oxygen was affecting briggs' brain....

he fought lennox back in the late 90's, when he himself was younger, fresher, and at his peak.....and lennox TKO'd his ass

tonight, he was a slow, plodding, overweight ****, and SHOULD have been put away by the 5/6th round by any GREAT heavyweight.....

but like always, even if he did get stopped, it would be due to his exhaustion, rather than it having to do with klitschko's power....briggs was rocking and reeling from exhaustion, not from hurt, and klitschko could not put away a guy that was just there to be had....

any version of lewis would have buried him into the ****ing floor tonight, and tyson would have decapitated him.

if anything this fight proves the dire state of the heavyweight landscape, and how massively overrated the klitschko's will be because of this.
