HBO let Arum take his stable of much more popular fighters off to Showtime. Guys like Berto, Paul Williams, Tarver, Andrade hardly have massive followings, they're all expendable. This Russell guy is just coming up, and him being on HBO should be a privilege and a vehicle to help build his fanbase. It shouldn't be the other way round with smaller fighters and their managers dictating to HBO.

He let his hands go without any conviction so I don't believe the hand injury thing, but was I the only one who noticed he was gassed horribly by round 6.

That is pretty pathetic. Miranda is also known as a guy who starts slow and does his best work in the last rounds like 9-12. As we saw that is exactly what was starting to happen too.

Haymon's "King's like bullying" with HBO is disgraceful and puts HBO in a very bad light. Now that HBO is starting to clean house I believe that Haymon's influence shall wane and we can begin getting quality matches again on the best boxing channel in the world!:deal

Haymon doesn't bully HBO, he owns Greenburg and Davis. Rewatch the Martinez KO of Williams (Haymon fighter), you can see HBO's president of sports - Greenburg jump out of his seat screaming, that's pathetic to a whole new level. It probably wouldn't be too difficult to follow the money trail between Haymon's intrests and Greenburg/Davis's interests.

Yes, they should take the power from Haymon and give it all to Bob Arum. That way we can keep seeing Donaire vs. nobody, Gamboa vs. Has beens, and Pac vs. the Shot fighter of the week.

Also, we need to get Margo AT LEAST 5 more title shots, no matter if he wins any of them or not. :yep
