It has been years that I have been so enthralled about two modern destroyers, MW GGG and LH Kovalev. I love the fighters of the 1940s because of the great depth and deep pool of fighters plying their trade those days, but GGG and Kovalev would fit in nicely with the best of them in their respective divisions. Thank you ! So if GGG and Kovalev weighed the same
who would beat who ??? No wagering allowed...

If they were naturally the same size id take Golovkin...

As it is, if Golovkin just moved up to fight Kova at 175 I would take Kova by UD, maybe late stoppage.

I can't pick a winner. Both Kovalev and Golovkin are very skilled fighters, hard punchers, perhaps they would both win.................

Kovalev beats ggg. Smoother and a better boxer. Reach and height advantage. I'd take kova also showed a good chin aswell.

Golovkin, if they were at the same weight with similar reach etc. I think he has more angles from which he can land, has a better body attack, sets up offense better, might even punch harder p4p, and is a better boxer (especially in the control department, and also parries and slips better). I do think Kovalev is outstanding, though. I don't think GGG is better by a wide margin, but enough that GGG would beat Kovalev more consistently than the reverse.

GGG easy! Kovalev has been dropped a few times even as an amatuer, GGG has a titanium chin. Kovalev wouldnt last 6 rounds with GGG

    GGG by brutal KO

GGG's intangibles are slightly better, but Kovalev has shown good patience and fundamentals. I think we'll be able to separate them more distinctlivley after their next 5 fights, but for now I'll say Kovalev looks the more beatable.
