What is everyones deal with "So and so was the aggressor!" Its called EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION. If your aggression isn't effective, it doesn't mean ****. I just joined this forum, but I'm sure Oscar's fans were saying the same thing after he lost to Floyd. "Wah wah wah but he was the aggressor!" And aggressor or not, in the early rounds of the fight I'm still pretty sure Floyd out landed Hatton anyway. I don't remember what CompuBox said (and frankly am not sure if I trust it), but after watching closely, it seems like Hatton only landed a few clean punches in the entire fights. His best punches were two jabs... and a few rights behind the head.
How is Floyd 'so ' a natural 147 lb fighter? How do you define this? Is it because Floyd walks around close to 147, so he doesn't have to cut weight? Well if this is the case Hatton is a natural light heavyweight, because he's got to walk around around 170, he gains a lot of weight between fights. Oh wait, thats just called NOT being in a shape. I'm really serious though, can you explain to me why yo ufeel Floyd has turned into a natural 147 lb fighter? Fighters have a harder time making weight when they get older, is that what you're talking about? Do you think this fight would have turned out any difference if it took place 2-3 years ago at 140 lbs? Tzyu was bigger than Hatton and Hatton still uh.. well didnt get knocked out against him. And furthermore, how can you say Floyd CHERRY PICKED Hatton? Hatton called out Floyd! After the Castillo fight he made fun of Floyd, Hatton effectively 'challenged' Floyd. So how is that cherry picking?
And speaking of coming to fight, I'm suddenly reminded of Hatton making fun of Floyd's mitt work. "Nobody's going to stand in front of you and let him hit you like that." Someone with some talent needs to splice together videos of Hatton ragging on Floyd on 24/7, with some of those slow-motion straight right hands from the HBO broadcast of the fight!
