Agree, even in 2009 Mundine was past his best and still managed to drop Geale and beat him. A prime Mundine annihilates him just like he did Soliman.
Glad I'm not the only one who interpreted it that way. But I only got to see it once. I did watch the fight for myself. And if you had chosen to watch it for yourself you would have known that he actually did get up with that ample time. Wow. Nice job, professor slick.
True. The TS is a massive Sturm nuthugger his boy never had the guts to fight GGG. 12 title defences tried to unify with Geale only when he couldn't avoid Golovkin anymore. Thought he could pick up Geales IBF strap and got owned. Geale,Macklin,Soliman's heart>Sturm's.:deal
I agree. Considering he's a Danny Green fan(who had Austin in his pocket) and against the IBO's own rules there was no drug testing before his fight with Tarver. Im the 2nd biggest Geale hugger there is but he was simply beaten by a superior boxer.
But that was before Geales best. Prior to that Geale's best opponent was Daniel Dawson FFS. And Soliman was fighting over his weight class. Mundine beat him and had the talent to go further but chose to fight nuffies in Australia for easy money(Green has done the same). Mundine never had the guts to test himself against the divisions best and when he won the regular belt against blown up MW Soliman and Kessler worked his way to become Mundines mandatory. Mundine dropped his belt and ran down to MW. FACT.:deal
Love Choc but jesus saying a prime mundine is laughable . Prime Tyson , Ali , Leonard , SRR , Louis yeah alright . You got to be a world class champion to even have a peak in your career - Choc never , B level at best in middleweight history.
One of the worst posts ever. How do you know he couldn't hear? If he couldn't hear then why respond to the referees question? Mistake of trading? WTF, he is a volume puncher whose not supposed to trade blows? Geale was fighting scared also, the tell tales signs were right there for you to see but since you don't follow boxing that much you wouldn't have noticed them right? The lance armstrong of boxing is Sam Soliman lol, GGG isnt a drug cheat you see. :good
He had the balls to go two rounds, that's about it. Hell, if you offerd me 350k id jump in with Mike Tyson for two rounds, or anyone else for that matter. Geale did duck GGG initially, make no mistake about it he knew if he put off the Mundine fight to for fill his obligations to the WBA he wouldn't have had any titles left to offer Mundine. As for the con job, well most of these Geale back slappers say he has a house blah blah blah blah out of the fights, but cant say the same about Mundine. Remember boxing is a business first and foremost. Im not defending Mundine either but fair is fair. The only time Geale really stepped it up in his career was when it was the right time to do so, when the opponents he stepped up against were ripe for the picking, the only one fighter he fought who was in his prime was Mundine and he got beat.
I don't know how anyone could have possibly thought the outcome could have been any different. Geale is a guy who went life and death with Darren Barker ffs he's several levels below the one they call Triple G and then some.
Read an article that says Geale reckons he never quit he was just shakin his head in disappointment at takin the shot, looked different on camera I guess.:think
Wowee. Guy just lost to a beast, who many are saying is the best at 160 since Monzon and not one ounce of respect paid to him for trying his best. Everyone loses (even Joe and Ottke - had Robin Reid beating them both) eventually. GGG will get taken to task at some point down the track. Even Sturm lost a couple of times Lencore but your love affair continues. Why the hate campaign with Geale?
Mundane NEVER fought anyone close to GGGs calibre, wouldn't even fight trout ya moron, if brains were dynamite you wouldn't have enough to blow your nose bowel :good:good
