yall can bicker all you want. cotto ran. clottey stopped fighting after the 8th. i dont realy care. that was a hell of a match and i give each man much respect. at least they freaking fought someone their size. not like the one fighting a lightweight champ and the other one prostituting himself for a shot at the light welterweight champ. kudos to both cotto and clottey. i hope there were more fighters like them and less idiotic boxing fans. it was a good action-packed fight and i enjoyed watching it very much. thank you cotto and clottey
True, I was thinking this while the fight was on. Props to Clottey for showing he wasn't overrated and for Cotto for taking on a bad stylistic match up.
yes that was a good fight. a war during the first 2/3 of the fight and cotto boxing his way to decision the rest of the fight. and cotto had to do what he needs to do to win against a monster like clottey. i admit that it was the first time that i saw a full clottey fight because i think this is the first time they telecast his fight here in the PI. i'm impressed with clottey with his straight punches and decent defense. cotto had to work on angles just to hit him hard. props to both fighters. i wouldn't mind a rematch but also wouldn't mind if floyd would fight now this seemingly "unimpressive" cotto, at least with ESB fans standards. of course floyd-pac would still be my priority if floyd wins against jmm.
Too bad HBO used it as another platform to bash Margarito. Manny was the only stand-up guy tonight. Maragrito son's Cotto again even in a victory tonight.
Clottey is world class now?? How did he demostarte this??? His win over Judah?? He is a B- fighter. Cotto fans are trying to hype him up now. :rofl
This is the only match I had my heart racing in a while. I think both fighters did quite well, but had their own mistakes. Cotto should have stayed on Clottey when he had him at the ropes and corners, and Clottey should have come more with the right hand, knowing that Cotto had impaired vision. I still enjoyed it, had Cotto only winning by one round.
I think Cotto could have stopped Clottey if he had stayed on him when he had him on the ropes, but he had only one eye.
