To cut a long story short he's finally got rid of the guy who derailed the career of one of the mos talented boxers alive, thank god, it is just a shame he did not do it earlier.
Taylor is very athletic and has good reflexes, but he's not among the most technically sound fighters out there. If Stewart couldn't help him technically, nobody can.
I agree on Taylor being athletic and having good reflexes . . . and also on him not being one of the most technically sound fighters but I believe he can still improve under a new trainer and win fights. Steward and him just doesn't blend well at all. I have been pointing that out since he drew with Winky. Steward is forcing him to completely change what he already learned and got accustomed to . . . thus Taylor became a reluctant fighter. We will see once he train under somebody else . . . maybe it's just a matter of how the coach makes him respond.
I agree there - Stewart couldn't held him too much technically, if at all. And I don't think he will ever improve this aspect of his game. But he can become more effective if he trains with somebody else.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl The only exceptionally "talented" about Taylor is his curious "talent" for getting gift decisions in fights he actually lost!! :nod
Steward is a greaqt manager, but a good trainer. In Kronk gym, wher eHearns and Mooer came up, he had a team of assistants who were actually more knowledgeable than him on training. But he owned gym, and was good business man. I'm not saying he is not a top trainer, but he may have some area's in his ways that did not work with Taylor. Taylor does have to win now though, no excuses from here on. Any word on new trainer?
