At the end of the day, Pacquiao didn't want the fight.

or could it be the other way around? Hatton didnt want the fight.. he didnt want to give manny ther 55/45 split..

Be fair, this argument can go both ways.

Hatton didn't want the fight either. His camp is the one who called off the negotiations.

Hatton is the champ and brings the PPV dollars. 50-50 is fair.

If Hatton wanted the fight, he could have had it.

The split was agreed upon, and then Pacman changed his mind and wanted more money. So maybe he didn't really want the fight once he'd thougt about it. He would have known Hatton wouldn't accept 40% after 50% had already been agreed.

If Hatton wanted to get ****ed in the ass, he could've had the dick. But he didn't. Pacquiao knew 60-40 was a no-go, yet he insisted on it.

Pac was expecting a legitimate counter-offer. It never came. Fight is off. End of story.

I saw his news interview a bit earlier.

He said that he does not regret his decision, and he will not agree to a 50-50 split whatever happens.

He said that he's not asking for the 55-45 to scam anybody. He said that he truly feels that because of all the hard work that he has done, all the sacrifices he has done, the fighters he has faced, and his agreeing to accept only a third of the total purse when he fought Oscar, he felt that he deserved more than a 50-50 share, this time.

He said that they're having some contact with the Mayweather camp, and he's ready to fight anybody this year.

He said that if the Hatton camp accepts 55-45, the fight's on.

But if their answer is "No", then he's perfectly OK with the fight being cancelled.

The man is set for 2 lifetimes, man. Seriously.

If he retired in 2006, he would still have been so obscenely rich in the Philippines, that he and his kids would never have to do any real work a day in their lives.

Add that to the prize money he won 2007-2008.

Money's not the number 1 reason, and the biggest thing on his mind now.
