In their fights against each other, the commentators had pointed out that common opponents thought Oscar had the heavier hands while Mosley had the speed advantage. However, considering how Mosley's overhand-rights and left hooks took out the likes of Margarito, Mayorga, Vargas (in this case very similarly to Oscar obviously), and hurt Mayweather in round 2, do they compare in terms of strength?

Oscar's left hook was better than any 1 punch from shane.

I think punch for punch, ODLH left hook was harder than anything Mosley could throw, if we are talking about 1 punch power.

I remember reading in a boxing mag that pretty much every common opponent said Oscar hit harder.

i voted for shane but i think it depends on wha weight you make your judgement on, i think shane hits harder at LMW and welter, what you have to think is oscar threw punches with more stiffness whereas sugar used speed and tesed when he threw

I'd say they are about equal.

DLH was probably a more accurate hitter and harder with one shot, whereas Mosley had the faster hands.

Oscar had the better left hook, but overall Mosley had a wider arsenal of punches; his left hook was lighting as well but so were his right hands and his uppercuts. Overall IMO that made him the better puncher, but Oscar's left hook was probably more devastating than anything else Mosley had. Like I said though that doesn't necessarily make Oscar the better puncher though.

Oscar without a doubt.. His left in particular but generally his punches are much shorter and compact unlike mosley who can't straighten out his punch to save his life. All his punches are very wide and all looped which kills the power.

Oscar's left hook was more lethal than anything in Shane's arsenal. But Oscar's right hand was relatively poor..where as Shane was dangerous with both hands.

As lightweights Oscar definately hit harder. There's an argument at the other weights but I still think De La Hoya is a bigger puncher all round.

Oscar's lefthook is better than anything Mosley had. Against Common opponents Oscar Always finished them faster...and Oscar fought them fresher.

    Jesse James Leija
    Fernando Vargas
    Ricardo Mayorga
    Narcisco Valenzuela
    Wilfredo Rivera

All common opponents..All KO faster by DLH, all fresher against DLH.
