GGG sometimes has a habit to stay close to a fighter and flurry in slow motion, with just a few shots getting full leverage. I've never seen that before.
He throws a lot of set up shots and varies his punching power. I think a great boxer can take advantage of it, but I haven't seen anyone do it. He does it a lot to set up his body and head shots. It's hard to predict when you're the fighter at the receiving end of his punches. He's definitely got his own unique style. Other fighters throw the classic 1-2, but they're all thrown with the same intentions at the same speed. Golovkin uses a bit of misdirection, and throw punches at varying speeds to throw his opponents off. It seems to be incredibly effective so far.
Alot of what he throws are probing shots or feints along with the way he varies the rhythm of his punches in combination. Excellent video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO9hb1kGOhs
