probably jones. but pac is actually close. during barrera1, his physical peak was at its top. during morales2 when his technical skills are improving, he still was physically outstanding but not unlike his physical peak at 122 going to 126.
but for me hes more tecnical now than ever less reckless but he lose that 1punch ko and speed. I guess its expected though because of increase in weight.
Probably Floyd Mayweather, Jr. himself. By the way, no way PBF's prime has been going on for ten years. That's way too long to have a prime.
enlighten me.... imo floyd fought more defensive higher up couldnt really see if he still had the punch he had at 130-135? hatton was more of a technical mastery(the hook) imo
its hard to factor which part or what percentage did contribute more to him losing his one-punch power and speed. yes going-up in weight contributes to it and so is wear and tear and aging. remember, pacquiao is old for a 30yr old boxer because he started pro at the age of 16. before this, he was joining some baranggay and fiesta tournaments as a kid just to earn something and give it to his mother. but one thing is sure, evolving to a more tecnhical boxer-puncher from being just a come-forward fighter and a crude slugger as a kid did extend his longetivity in the ring.
I really don't think it matters if he didn't have the punch when he moved up in weight. . . I mean, natural punching power will go as one moves up in weight even if that person's still in their prime. Mayweather did knock out Hatton, but that was more due to timing and skill. If you want to see Mayweather's raw punching power, his fight with Angel Manfredy would be a good one to watch, because that's back when he was at 130, where his punching power was greatest. You say that Floyd fought more defensive as he moved up. That to me is a sure sign when Floyd's true skill prime started, because he knew that he couldn't just do the same to guys at 140-154 that he could at 130-135. Instead, he adapted his game to get around things like weight and height advantages that his opponents had. To myself, it comes down to this. At 130-135, Floyd was using his natural talent to get by. At 140-154, he had to truly adapt his game in order to continue to be successful. That, to me, is the time frame that the physical and skill primes were/are. That's not to say they didn't cross paths at some point however.
I think it was the Velasquez fight that one can first notice a conspicuous usage of the right hand by Packy..
