his physical prime was when he was at 122. his technical prime is since he fight with Larios. Overall its hard to say when he was at his best. Is the Pac that beat Barrera a better fighter than Pac is today? Hard to say because although his skills are better, athletically he doesn't have the same strength and speed advantages that he did at 122. I mean he is still fast relative to these slower bigger guys but back then he was even more fast relative to the fast little guys.
:good the pac before can be neutralized unlike now...the hatton fight would be another testament to that
Physical Prime---122 or 126 Skill Prime --- 135 He relied so much on his left when was still in the lower weight class.
I think he entered his prime around Barrera 1 then peaked in his prime against David Diaz...so he's now entering the latter stages of his prime. I think people forget how quickly a boxer's "prime" really goes by.
IMO Pac's prime dates back when he KOed Sasakul. He may not be as polished as he is now, but he was at his physical prime then.
I cant see how. He was a young, weight drained kid. He was getting schooled before he caught Sasakul...Very doubtful a prime Pac gets stopped by Singsurat, especially that easily. He didnt exactly look like p4p material against Hussein and Sanchez at 122 either. I think he has matured into the higher weights nicely and looks far more dominant and comfortable. 122-126 I could understand people thinking he was starting his prime there but at 112 he just didnt look that great yet.
but the pac that beats sasakul would beat the version of Yuri Arbachakov that challenged for the title in japan...and many people consider arbachakov all-time h2h top 10 at 112
No he wouldnt asero. I know you are basing that on the fact that Yuri couldnt stop Sasakul when Pac did. But they are different fighters and those were different fights. Yuri was excellent defensively and never showed any sign of a weak chin..He just was a notorious coaster who would let fights get close by just switching off his offense. However it is important the note that he very rarely caught with anything stupid during these periods..not in the film Ive seen. He is a far better fighter then Singsurat...and a couple of years earlier before his physical decline he was clearly better the Sasakul. And quite frankly he was just a better fighter then Pac was at flyweight. Im not one of those people who tries to talk down the Sasakul win for Pac..I often find myself talking it up. But it is what it is..he was getting dealt with then he landed a bomb. Then he lost the title 9 months later and thats really the extent of Pac's flyweight career.
I cannot understand, is there distinction of primes? physical and skill? whatabout his emotional prime?
