If you have to ask then you don't know enough about boxing to make an accurate assessment.

Boxing technique isn't opinionated. There is only one way of throwing each punch. Any deviation from that is incorrect.

Btw you don't know **** about boxing compared to me. You had to pay for personal time with a trainer in order to learn anything. I hope he gave you the pats on the back that you paid for.

You completely ducked my post. Boxing fundamentals aren't opinionated. I can't snap my shoulder first then pivot last and call that correct technique. You are wrong.

Now you are desperate for an out so you try and misrepresent my posts. You have double my posts but nearly half of the likes that I have. You are clearly flooding the forum with your input but nobody gives a f*ck.

You asked for my definition of correct technique which implies that there is more than one definition of correct technique. Which is false.

Now you are playing dumb as usual. "I've seen your posts, here and in the training forum--I've seen what you know (and don't know) about boxing. Spare me."

I really don't care whether or not you are sad about likes. It just goes to show that not many people give a **** about what you post. 10,000 posts that is.

In my opinion they always did. The trainers were there, the technique was always there. What wasn't always there necessarily for the giant was the right conditions in order to make Giants truly excel in this sport compared with cruiserweight sized heavyweights.

Any fighter is only as good as the guy he is fighting let's him look. When all the advantages that used to favour better boxers were taken away size took over from skill.

I can mean nothing by correct technique than the only definition of correct technique there is. It is black and white, they either use correct technique or they don't. Its that simple.

This may or may not answer your question but its something interesting I remember reading decades ago.
In Dempseys Championship fighting book which I think came out in the 50's I'll have to check my bookcase. He said the modern fighters have it all wrong which is why thers less KO's. He says U should punch with last 3 knuckles and not the first 2 because it breaks up the power line coming from your shoulder to elbow I believe? And turning your punches over takes power away as opposed to a vertical punch then he had the falling step explanation. Now I remember Bruce Lee was also a proponent of the vertical fist ala his 1 inch punch along with Bas Rutten today. Now I may have gotten some of this wrong as I havent read this in about 25 yrs but according to Jack thats how it goes. Im not one to argue his points but when I boxed these didnt feel comfortable 4 me.
Just my 2 cents dont know if that helped or not.

Jack had a lot of great stuff to say in that book. I remember after reading it I started doing the things he said to do and my punching power felt like it increased ten fold.

    One of my favorite books.
Jack really knew wat he was talking about.
He wasnt just a wild man which alot of guys seem to think. Adleast thats the impression I get on here.

How so? I've got 211 likes in 766 posts. 1 in 3.5 posts.

You have 561 likes in 5,621 posts. 1 like per 10 posts so I must know nearly three times as much about boxing as you.

    Check.

You have made more posts since they started the like system. Most of my posts have been made before the like system.

It was nothing like that, pen is breath. My posts are much better than yours and yours are much rubbisher than mine.
