id say they are about equal

he beat barrera in what 2003

thats when he first hit the main scene

floyd had already been on the main scene

floyd had distance on manny then he retired

during the retirement manny accomplished plenty

floyd came back and hasnt done much but what he has done and may do keeps him with or just ahead or just behind manny

    not much seperates these 2

    You are 1 sick child.

Pac beating Hatton was the fight were Pac was seen as an equal (or close to or greater) than Floyd, that was the start of this mess we are in now that brought out nobs like this TS & the rest of the pacfucs.

For me it was the clottey fight. Established himself as the number 1 guy at welterweight which is amazing considering he was a former flyweight champ :)

The demolition of Cotto sealed it for me. That was an unbelievable performance.

His fights against cotto and clottey were so dominant people were calling for floyd to pac. This is a guy who has fought as high as light middleweight being asked to take on a former flyweight, for someone to get themselves in that position is amazing.

Coulda swore he beat the crap outta Terrible' twice in fights 2 & 3 for TKO's. First fight was pretty close too but Eric won convincingly.

But he really did beat JMM twice.
I musta watched those fights close to 20 times by now.
Last weekend I sat down with 2 of my staunchest mexican fight fan homies and we watched both fights at %50 speed and pretty much tabulated each round, punch by punch. Even rewinding and re-rewinding, scrutinizing every exchange, powershots, grazes, nears misses, every thing. And all 3 of us had to agree on a punch for it to count. If we all didn't agree we didn't count it. We're all level headed guys and agreed that we just wanted to know amongst ourselves for sure no matter who lost or won.
    It took nearly 4 hours.
    It was actually pretty grueling.

At the end of it was 113-112 for fight 1. and 114-113 for fight 2. both for Manny.
I have no doubts about either of those fights and would have gladly given it to Dynamita if he had really won. But he really didn't. The homies didn't wanna admit it but they had to.
We might do it again before fight 3 and I would invite any reasonable objective boxing fan in the L.A. area to come by for some beers & bbq to spend the day meticulously and objectively rewatching those 2 fights frame by frame by frame.

I think alot of people got really excited because of how JMM was coming back in exciting fasion and it was very exciting, but the final point tabulation still had Pac ahead. Burt Clemens should be fired btw.

When Floyd retired and Manny kept fighting. Atleast that is when everyone started saying he passed Floyd.
