A guy like Kevin Bizier, 5'9'', fights at 154 and is fairly average at that weight. He is above average in Canada, but would be below average in the States. 154 is therefore average. Herrol spence fights at 147 and is 5'9''. A lot of top guys at 140 are above 5'9'' but they are skinny. Prodovnikov is 5'6'', which is small. 147 would be the best answer, 140 could be an answer, below that they would definitely have problems picking up the Corona girls.

154 for me. They're about my size just in better shape.

    176-200+ is big ( CW , HW )
    161-175 is above average ( SMW , LHW )
    141-160 is average ( WW , LMW , MW )
    123-140 is small ( FW , SFW , LW , LWW )
    105-122 is tiny ( Minimumweight-superbantamweight )

I'm actually shocked to click on this thread and see the options only start at 135. It's almost obligatory to refer to flyweights as little guys, but certainly not lightweights. Lightweights while they're below average size are certainly full-grown men. Come on, it takes real strength and a significant level of muscle mass to punch like Duran, Mosley, Gatti.

My answer is at super bantamweight I look at boxers as no longer little men. Barrera in his prime was 'man size', but Mark Johnson, Fernando Montiel, Jorge Arce, Moreno, definitely Gonzalez, Estrada, Cuadras are 'little men'. Rigo too because he's smaller-boned and walks around at not much more than 122. I've also always used 122 as the border because some 122 lbers like Rigo and Ledwaba (the guy Pac beat to win his title) aren't quite 'full size', but Barrera and Morales are. A physically-prime 122 lber who comes into the ring at about 130 is a strong, solid-size human. You're a sizist and using heavyweight as your reference if you call a welterweight a 'little man'.

It's apparently in the eye of the beerholder. I boxed as a 132 lber at 17-20. And now in my later 30s I'm only 150.

    Obesity by country...

Here's top 30, updated in February 2017. Most common in these forums is US and UK. US is at #12 with 35%, UK is at #27 with 30%. We're talking about a 5% difference.... That's like me scoring an 85 on a test, then calling someone who scored an 80 an "idiot".

This is far more along my line of thought than everyone else in this thread, though I was far too lazy to actually type a fraction of what you did. Kudos.

That ~5 % compared to the rest of the developed world is a huge difference. That huge gulf between the US and other countries has existed now for several decades, and makes the reason for growing rates of obesity (and associated health conditions) worldwide glaringly obvious.

I used to fight lhw and anyone below welter weight would feel small and you would have to hold back a fair bit and not push them about or they would get ragged dolled a bit.

I remember pushing an ex world feather champion in sparring he went flying.

Welters don't feel small some are 5ft10

The average American man is 5'9.5" and 195 pounds. Which is pretty fat. Yea, that average dude isn't jacked like Mike Tyson. They got that way with beer an donut.

What weight class do I stop calling small/little men. 140 they're no longer little guys. At 154 and higher the power starts to get freaky. Anybody who's a natural JMW or higher can usually crack like you wouldn't believe. Ever take a pro middleweight shot? My god it's like a sledgehammer.

I'd say that Spence is actually a little bit larger than the average sized man. Danny Garcia to me is about a regular sized man.

For picking up women by far the most important physical attribute is facial aesthetics. Then 2nd comes height and if you're below 5'10" that's going to affect your game. The shorter you get after 5'10" and the more problems you will have with picking up girls. Also though after you get to 6'3" and taller more height actually starts to be a detriment.
