That Pac will go out against JMM like Hatton did against PBF. He gets caught coming in with a good punch. Sh|t, fu(k..
Hatton did'nt really start to get caught consistently with clean punches until his pace slowed down around the mid-point of the fight. .....so I dont think his defense was that bad. One thing that sluggers like Pac and Hatton all vulnerable to is to get caught trying to overexhert themselves even in the face of fatigue. .....Hatton tried to force the pressure, and ended up trying to leap in with a telegrahed shot. Good boxers take advantage of such vulnerabilities, and we saw tonight what a great fighter could do to counteract that type of aggression. Hatton made one leap too many and Mayweather the great technichian that he is timed Hatton and nailed him.....proof that you dont have to be a great puncher to really hurt someone and essentially end a fight. The one advantage that Pac has is that the fight is at 130 lbs and not 135 lbs, as Pac had claimed that he had trouble making 130 lbs..... Initially Hatton wanted to fight Mayweather at 140 lbs, as it would have been to his benefit, but Mayweather being the bigger name calls the shots, and he knew, the higher the weight, the more to his benefit. .....but give Freddie Roach credit for advising Pac to stay and fight Marquez at 130 lbs, a climb up in weight usually benefits the boxer, and had Pac's claim that he could'nt make 130 lbs been true, it would have been to the benefit of JMM to have the fight made at 135 lbs!
Nothing hurts more than getting caught lunging in. Cases in point, Pac-Hussein. That was just a basic jab but Pac was no doubt wobbled. Also Lewis-Mccall 1.
Now you're making more sense. Fighting JMM with bigger gloves gives Pac a less of an advantage with his power. But you have to credit punchers like Hatton and Pac for making the fights worth watching. They both come forward and they don't care how many shots they take in the process.
