, really... Floyd can't even match Morales greatness and now JCC Sr the GOAT in Mexican boxing.:patsch. This **** gets more annoying everytime. But at least the poll made a good example on what I mean.;)

I think its fairly close & they both belong in a similar bracket in terms of ATG rating.

JCC fought the better opposition, Floyd (arguably) has the more eye-catching performances & has been more successful over a wider range of weight divisions.

Both were highly skiled, Floyd has the greater athletic gifts but JCC hit harder & has the better chin of the 2.

Right now I think JCC edges it but in a few years time my opinion could be the opposite. Good thread.

Maybe not school him, but he would beat him, no doubt about it.

You can bring up the injury and the rematch all you want, bottom line is Castillo gave him problems, and the rematch wasn't exactly a schooling like some *****s would like to have you believe. Castillo still gave him problems, although Floyd won more clear this time around.

Reason i brought Castillo up is because you brought up Taylor, saying how much problems he gave Julio and how much inferior to Floyd he is ect, ect....Well my friend, same applies to Castillo. Gave Floyd problems and is far more inferior to Julio.

and by the way, Taylor would give Floyd all sorts of hell, you better believe that.

How do you figure Chavez had the better chin?

Floyd never quit in a fight...

Julio never lost his urge or went on vacation when it came to fighting his ATG rival...

..and what exactly does quitting have to do with chin? :huh

People compare the names on the resume...
Who had more title defenses & against mandatory opponents overall?
    (Real question)

Not just that...Which of those names were actually at their best at the time they fought them?

    Floyd has no ATG rival...

    If you mean Plankman...

    He walked away from a 5050 split and a 14 day cut-off in 09...:deal

Why would a clean athlete need a cutoff....?

The media would have roasted Floyd if he killed the fight over DRUG TESTING...

He's already called a coward on ESPN...he'd get ****-hammered for needing more than 14 days to "recover" from testing..

Barry Bonds would lose his dubious role as poster boy for streroids to Floyd "Juice" Mayweather.......and you KNOW it......:deal

Mayweather gets no love from the press....Manny does...

But according to *****s, Pacquiao is just some 1 dimensional midget brawler thats tailor made for Floyd.

Seems Floyd's groupies have more confidence than their hero.

If we made a "Who wins" lets say a 91-92 Chavez Vs.

    *McGirt
    *Simon Brown
    *Maurice Blocker
    *Meldrick Taylor
    *Crisanto Espana

^Who were the WW champions at the time of Julio's last elite year. (IMO)
If ****s with me that Don King milked Julio's name towards the end.

When he had Simon Brown & Buddy McGirt fights that could have been epic.

Seems they were trying to march to 100-0 after a certain point. Up through '92 he'd already beaten Mario Martinez, Roger Mayweather, Rocky Lockridge, Juan LaPorte, Edwin Rosario, Jose Luis Ramirez, Roger Mayweather (again), Sammy Fuentes, Meldrick Taylor, John Duplessis, Angel Hernandez and Hector Camacho, as well as Terrence Alli and Greg Haugen in '93. All rated champs and/or contenders from 130-140.
